Upon arriving in Prato, our host recommended we have a light lunch at Papillon. Clean and inviting. WONDERFUL desserts. Light sandwiches and paninis or pizza to choose from along with a full bar, beer, wine and spirits. A very friendly local eatery with a relaxed atmosphere.

Intimate Wine Bar flourished from ancient medieval buildings of the course, the wine is the protagonist with typical proposals specialties: meats, cheeses, soups, croutons
In Prato for three nights, but didn't fancy any of the local restaurants the first night until we came across Le Barrique. Had a fun dinner outside, with a good glass of Chianti each. Looked elsewhere the next evening but drifted back to Le Barrique, and had an even better one. The third night we didn't even try to look elsewhere, and went straight there. The music is loud, less so if you sit outside, the pasta is good the wine is great and the place has a vibe. Don't even think pf elsewhere, and tell them Michael sent you

This is the second time at this place. The first time was such a nice experience. This time, however, things didn't feel the same. Somehow the burger seems smaller and we were seated at the far corner and got completely ignored for the night. Food is still good though.

If u want a nice refined coffee, good brioche made of original ingredients and the best sandwiches ever tasted, CAFFE PASTICCERIA LA REPUBBLICA is the answer. Seeing is believing and a trial will convince you. I have been there and will always go there. I tried, saw and then believed wholly.

Taglieri and sandwiches cast, excellent labels of wine and vin santo, and house wine by the glass.
In the heart of the historical part of Prato, this little treasure offers the ideal environment to cheer with good Tuscan wine and eat delicious appetizers. Bartenders are friendly and give great advices about meal/wine matching. Must go there!
