I think during the day when you can people watch this is a good place. I had been here a few years back and had some sangria and people watched and with all the shops open and people on the beach it was good. But this was a dead night and not much on the TV but soccer.
We ate at the Blues Bar and sat outside and enjoyed the weather and views of the beach in Praia. Our food was pretty good and as usual for Terceira, pretty reasonably priced. We paid about 5 or 6 Euros for our lunches mainly because we ordered fries. The sandwiches were about 4 Euros. They serve mainly sandwiches and wraps and of course they have plenty of alcoholic beverages. Service was good. The Azores are laid back. Meals are for relaxing and taking your time to enjoy the food and your companions. We talked with Rudolfo, who served us, while we waited. There wasn't a big crowd so he had time to chat. He was very gracious and speaks English very well. If you go in the summer it will be busier. Praia is a beach town and fills up then. One warning, if smoking bothers you, you might not like it there. It is a bar and people smoke inside and outside.

A nice small cafe, with outdoor seating and a view of the harbor. Visited here several times during my time in Terceira. My favorite dish was the grilled octopus, but the grilled cod and pork sandwiches were excellent also (avoid the hamburgers). House white wine (sparkling) was very good also.
