The Social Bar + Table is a locally sourced farm to table restaurant in Port Hope, ON! We are proud members of the Feast ON family and work hard every day to live up to those standards. We support local farmers, always fresh, every day. What's on tap? Cra
We make the trip from Dundas to Belleville often, and it's a lovely break to stop for lunch along the way. The Social Bar & Table was our most recent FABULOUS FIND!Service was so friendly, the atmosphere was casual, the menu was interesting, and our choices were tasty. What more could you ask for? My gluten-free partner had the power bowl - quite filling and delightful. I had the fish tacos - just two since it's an appetizer, so the server suggested the soup of the day. The actual bowl of soup (our neighbour had) looked too big as an add-on, but they were willing to give me a smaller portion (at a smaller price, of course). It was tasty and fit the bill perfectly. We enjoyed the break in our drive, a wonderful lunch, and a refreshing spot to have a conversation as we made the transition into the long weekend. The wine and craft beer selections were plentiful. I appreciated that they even had two ciders on tap. AND -there's liquor store across the street. We could pick up some wine in the same stop and be back on the road in no time.We will most definitely be back.

Diverse menu of delicious dishes, ranging from Thai Steak Salad to Prime Rib Dinner. Comfortable seating, attractive decor, massive 100+ inch TV. Twelve beer taps. Large second floor lounge suitable for private events.
I have been visiting Port Hope annually for over 30 years and we always try a new dinner restaurant each year. This year was Nookie's and our experience was wonderful. We made a reservation a few days ahead of time and a nice booth was waiting for us when we arrived. The restaurant is easy to find and there is free nearby parking. We had nice cocktails to start and then enjoyed the Butternut Squash Ravioli and the Steak and Lobster Tail Friday Special. My husband loved his ravioli and recommends it highly. My Steak and Lobster Tail was perfectly prepared and more food than I could eat. The steak was advertised as 8 oz, but was larger, maybe 10 oz. The lobster tail was tender sweet and larger than expected also. It came with mashed potatoes and veggies. I passed on the potatoes due to an allergy and received an abundance of fresh green beans, carrots, broccoli and cauliflower. It was very very good and only cost $20!! The atmosphere is nice and was not too loud. The rib dinners served to nearby tables looked delicious. I fully recommend Nookie's for a delicious pleasant meal.

Typical sports bar/pub food and atmosphere. We ordered the lamb stroganoff because it was the special of the day and sounded interesting as well as the Julienne salad and a bowl of soup. The soup arrived first as requested and was delicious. The mains arrived shortly afterwards and were both large, delicious, and the temperature they were supposed to be. We had enough for a take-away box. Prices were reasonable for the amount of food received. We basically had two servers and had all the attention we needed. Not too overpowering but attentive. The decor could do with a bit of sprucing up, but that was just a minor observation. It seemed that they were in the middle of remodelling the ladies washroom. It was noisy in the bar section, but the restaurant was large enough that you could get away from some of the noise. T.V.s everywhere so you didn't need to miss anything sports related. All in all, a good experience if you want to go to a sports bar and nothing fancier. We will be back!

Nice fresh lunch at the bar. We enjoyed it very much. Certainly a local establishment but I didnât feel like an alien.

We came with a few clients in wheelchairs and we could get in the entrance without issues. The tables are nicely spaced so we could fit the wheelchairs around our table. The washroom was huge and accessibility was not an issue. I was very impressed at how accommodating our waitress was. Very polite and attentive. Our drinks and food came at a reasonable amount of time and was very good. Portions of meals are a good size. I recommend this place highly.
