My wife, daughter and I finally went to this great place after hearing wonderful things about it. This re-tooled, old-timey steam plant has such a great vibe. And, with four different seating areas available, inside and out, it's easy to find an accommodating place to sit. We just went for drinks and an appetizer, so I can't offer a report on the quality of their meals. However, the two flights of beer we downed and the "Beer Cheese" we shared couldn't have been better. The written descriptions of the beer choices came in handy and our waitress added her recommendations to help us decide which four beers to select. Highly recommend the Beer Cheese--best warm pretzel I ever had and the hot cheese was incredibly flavorful! Our waitress, wish I could remember her name, was simply perfect--wonderfully friendly, highly responsive and very knowledgeable. No doubt about it, we will definitely return!!!

If you donât mind hearing loads of what we used to call âgutter talkâ, then youâll be fine here. If not then youâll be uncomfortable here. The food was just okay to poor. Onion rings tasted fishy & seemed old. Could eat much.Veggie burgers also tasted like they had freezer burn. Meat burger was okay, but expect more at that price.

Stayed at the lovely and historical Holly Inn in Pinehurst. We had a comfortable king size bedroom in a sizable room overlooking the front entrance to the Inn. The 1895 Room was the perfect dining experience in beautiful surroundings. Staff was very considerate and enjoyed the sitting area in the lobby as well as the patio. I highly recommend a stay here when visiting the "Home of American Golf."

The regular restaurant was not open so ate in the bar and it was delightful. There were 6 of us and all really enjoyed their meals. The service was excellent, wine very reasonably priced and food was wonderful.

The Hickory Tavern is the perfect place for a business lunch, after work happy hour, or to go watch any game! Bring the kids or just have a girl's night out. Whatever the occasion, the Hickory Tavern is always the perfect destination! The preferred game d
The staff are are welcoming and introduce themselves by name and then ask for your name. Their IPA selections are very good and the food I ordered was served hot and delicious. I had Wicked Weed IPA and the quesadillas for my meal. Everything was delicious. A patron came in and asked if they could get a basketball game on one of the TVâs and the staff was quick to switch it on. Thatâs great service.Loved it!

Situated on the veranda overlooking the historic 18th hole of Pinehurst No. 2, The Deuce features made-from-scratch cuisine in a relaxed setting. Featuring an open-air bar, our newest restaurant offers the best view of the famed course's historic finishin
The Deuce is located just behind the eighteenth green at iconic Pinehurst #2 - the scene of major golf championships over the years. Park in the large visitors lot and make the longish walk to the front door of the Resort (there is a separate members door to the left). Walk long the inside hallway and view pictures and memorabilia of significant events held at Pinehurst. We even found ourselves in a shot of the 18th on Sunday of the 2014 US Open. The Deuce is at the end of the hall to the left and across from the pro shop. We arrived at 7:30PM on a Thursday evening and the place was nearly empty. We elected to sit outside and enjoy the early evening and to view the course. Thy have a long and good draught beer menu while the food menu is along the lines of "pub food". No problem.I ordered a beer and burger (can't go wrong there) and the beer arrived cold and tasty. The burger came a bit later and it was immediately disappointing. The menu describes the burger as a blend of short ribs and brisket. Sounded good to me! But the reality was different. I thought the taste was "funny" and off-putting. A regular beef burger would have been a better choice (there was not that option). Two others with us also had a burger and felt the same. In our group - no one expressed much positive about their meal...Just average was the group's assessment. So - I'd suggest just going to The Deuce for a cocktail or two, relax in a rocking chair by the 18th green, and soak in Pinehust #2 while imagining the roars you'd hear on a championship late afternoon. Then...go somewhere else for dinner!

At here on a Friday night. Only available tables were outside which had a nice feel and the weather was perfect for it. Pimento cheeses appetizer served with fried wontons which was a neat twist. A lot of typical bar fare but with some good twists Good beer selection and service was on point. Can't go wrong here and you will get a solid meal.Thank you! We really appreciate your generosity. Named for the 1951 Ryder Cup held at Pinehurst, this casual restaurant and bar surrounds you with history. Located in the Carolina Hotel, The Ryder Cup's unique menu includes classic American fare with a twist. From the unforgettable Deconstructed Nachos
Staying at the Carolina we loved the Ryder Cup room and went there for drinks many times. On certain nights they even have music out on the patio, great place.
