Reviews on Bar food in Olyphant, Pennsylvania, United States. Olyphant is a borough in Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania, approximately five miles (8 km) northeast of Scranton on the Lackawanna River in the heart of the anthracite region of the State. Its main source of employment was the mining and shipping of coal. Owned and operated by the Cooper family since 1948 Coopers has become a landmark in Scranton PA. More than just a restaurant think about us as an interesting dining tour experience, once you are here youâll enjoy everything: the menu, the staff, the decor
I was on my way to a 'Friday the 13th' event in New Jersey, and decided to make a 'The Office' side trip along the way. I'm not even a 'The Office' super fan (I have not seen all the episodes), but I was thrilled with this gift shop. My favourite item was the Kevin Malone fridge magnets. The atmosphere of this restaurant was 'delightfully cheesy,' just as it was portrayed on the TV show. I cannot speak to the food, as I was only there for the gift shop. While in the area, you can also visit the 'Pennsylvania Paper & Supply Company,' the original Dunder Mifflin, and pick yourself up a free poster.Dear Product of Canada, Thanks for that nice review! Coopers is glad you enjoyed your visit with us and next time your passing through Scranton stop in for some great seafood too. Remember "Ain't no party like a Scranton party cause a Scranton party don't stop" Sincerely, Paul Cooper

AJ's is always a fun time. Cold drinks and great food. You can't go wrong by picking this place for your night out. The food is consistently really good. My favorite is the cheeseburger! They have tons of food options to choose from. Unique draft offerings and definitely something to tickle your fancy! The bartenders are really fantastic and will remember you and what you like!

We stopped on a whim...The service was good...very friendly, but professional...there when needed, invisible when not. The dining room was upscale...Corking fee was a very reasonable $25.Our meals were very good...beef tenderloins were tender and delicious. My in-laws had salmon, perfectly prepared (rare), while my son had grilled chees AND a 5 napkin hamburger.Desserts were great and the coffee outstanding...Definitely reasonable: $250 for the meal (5), corking fee and tip.We plan on going for dinner soon.If you are in Scranton, worth the visit. If youâre just passing through, worth the stop.

Now that I know what its like ; I'll be back.

A great casual fine dining restaurant. Family friendly with large portions and great prices. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. "Life's Too Short For Average Food"
Many one of a kind selections & daily specials. Never disappointing and the husband and wife owners are always checking customer satisfaction. One small negative tonight is that the server never refilled the drinks or bread, or asked. We can live with that and I still give it 5 stars.

We stopped in 2 nights in a row for drinks. The first night they were having a martini special. I tried 3 different types. They were all delicious. The next night was fishbowl drink special. It was good too.Nice beer selection. Great atmosphere. Friendly staff and good prices. The food looked good. We were staying with relatives so didn't get a chance to have dinner.

We were visiting in the Scranton area and, frankly, got a bit lost when we were starving for lunch. We stumbled on this place and decided to take a chance, mostly because there was nothing else nearby. What a great accident! Besides the bar/restaurant area, there is an inviting patio. Regulars were greeted by name as they walked through the door, and there were a lot of regulars...no wonder...the food, the atmosphere, and the service were superb. Our sandwich was large enough to split, the fries were great, and the check was more than reasonable. The best compliment: If we lived nearby, we would be regulars, too. It was that good.

We visited here on our way to Canada and we really enjoyed our meal. The seafood chowder was amazing and fresh and their pierogies were fabulous. My husband didn't enjoy their pork sandwich too much - he said it was dry. Their martinis were excellent. The restaurant had a really nice vibe and the service was excellent. If we ever pass through Dickson city again we will definitely stop by.

Went on a Saturday night and it wasn't packed so we got a cozy table for 2. We started off with an order of Onion Rings and 2 drinks. LARGE Portions here! My wife had steak Salad and I ordered the shrimp Caesar wrap. Both were very good and we received very good service. The only thing that stops me from issuing a 5 is the cost of drinks, pricy. $8.50 for a 16 ounce craft beer is a bit to high for me...
