Went to the 1718 Brewery 3-4 times while on Ocracoke usually on the way back in from the beach. Always had a good selection of tbeir very tasty beer on tap. The beer was cold and well-brewed, my favorite being the Notorious Mr. F.I.G. This should be the "official beer of Ocracoke Island". Before setting out fo our return drive to Missouri, I got a Crowler of the F.I.G. and another of the Mexican Chocolate Stout. They said it should be good for about 12 days. 6 weeks later we popped the top! They were both as fresh as the day we bought em!

The view and atmosphere are great! The hush puppies are excellent. Service is prompt and they check back on you. The live music sounded really good. We got the daily fish plate fried which tasted really good, not too fishy. My Mother-In-Law got the bacon cheeseburger in which looked amazing and she said it was excellent! Overall we had a great experience and highly recommend.

This was my and my wife's first time in Ocracoke. We wanted oysters and this restaurant exceeded our expectations. It's a casual place with a nice patio on the front. We chose to sit at a table inside. The bar was large and packed with people drinking, socializing, cutting up and having fun. There was a 4-man band of mid-50 year olds. They played fun classics and several danced with or after dinner. We started with the crab dip, which was delicious. We also shared the dozen oyster sampler. All were very good, but the Mon Luis were our favorite. My wife had a salad, I had the gumbo. We enjoyed them both. We took a slice of key lime pie to go. It was ok. But key lime is one of my favorites and my standards are high. Lastly, the bar made a good mojito.

Very very casual. Its your typical beach bar with food type of restaurant. No need to dress fancy, in fact super casual is the way to go. We had Oyster Po Boy and Shrimp Po Boy. Both stuffed with shrimp and oysters, but served on a round bun so no your typical po boy. Service was fine (we at the bar) and it was busy. If you want elegant dining, go elsewhere, if you want casual dining, good food this is one of many options to choose. I read comments that it was expensive and I'd say it is on the higher side for what you get, but that applies to every restaurant on the island that we tried.....you can't really compare the pricing here to pricing back home - this is an island with only ferry access and touristy so with that combination, you pay more.

Their Brunch is available beginning at 10 a.m.We had the brunch one morning before going to the beach. My wife had Buttermilk Fried Chicken and Dropped Biscuit ... described as VERY good. I hada Seafood Omelet with grits ... liked it alot. Service was good and the setting was relaxing and charming. Later in our stay we returned for a dinner. I had an excellent Maple Glazed Bone-in Pork Chop. Again, the service was good.
