Reviews on Bar food in Nuremberg, Bavaria, Germany. With half a million people, Nuremberg is Bavaria's second largest city. While its history dates to the 11th century, Nuremberg is most often linked to the 20th century (specifically World War II). It first served as the site of many pre-war Nazi rallies, then was nearly leveled by Allied bombing, then was the site of the famous post-war Nuremberg Trials. The city has much to offer today's visitors, including the rebuilt Nuremberg Castle and the world-famous gingerbread at Hauptmarkt. Hansel and Gretel would have loved this place.

This place was great. I canât help but think of the sliced kangaroo meat with sour cream that we missed by an hour. But we got chicken sandwich, which was exactly as advertised. Clubby type atmosphere at 11pm on a Saturday.

Avoid like the plague! We were scammed here through and through. Basket of bread on the table at 1.10 euro a piece, put there without telling us about costs (thus â¬5.5 for kaiserbrochen). Small portions, bad kartoffelsalad, horrible service (hello, look at us and maybe smile?). Avoid at all costs!!!Only German menu in small print said no credit card. This fitness or too mean no debit card as well. White washing practice? 45 euro for three tiny plates and drinks.

Something that often disappoints me about a lot of bars in Europe is the lack of good bar food. After walking the streets of Nuremberg, I wanted a Guinness and something to snack on. Finneganâs delivered. One plate of nachos and a couple of beers later, I was satisfied. Our waiter was hospitable and enjoyable to chat with. Combined with the outdoor seating, I really enjoyed my time here.On previous visits, I indulged in my share of Guinness with some buddies inside the pub. The bartenders were always great. The interior is what you would expect from an Irish pub which is why I love visiting them throughout Europe.

Located in the historical Thurn & Taxis Palais - built in 1908 as the Bavarian National Bank - the Tapasitos was found in 2005. Within a year the site was remodeled to create the typical spanish flair. Lamps. tiling, accessories and even the characteristi
The food here was quite delicious, and our server was very friendly, but the 75 minute wait for our orders (including plates of cold ham) was a definite negative. Hi Sharron and thank you so much for taking the time to review your stay at the Tapasitos restaurante y bar. You are defenitely right about the waiting time, which ist unacceptable and we are really sorry for that. I suppose you visited us on wednesday night? So you see we are quite aware of that and promise that we are doing our very best to improve the situation. We would consider us more than happy If you gave us a second chance to show you we can do better. Feel free to contact me anytime and I will find a way to make it up to you. Looking forward to hearing from you soon Michael Hartlieb [email protected]

We enjoyed our evening at O'Shea's so much that we returned the next day. Both times we had dinner there and were positively surprised by the boxty and salads. All the dishes we had were inexpensive, much lower priced than in other Nuremberg restaurants. The room indoors is very cozy and nicely decorated. Also, there is a wide range if different drinks, especially beer and cider. The staff was professional and very friendly. From one waitress we even got some tips for our holiday trip. The simple fact that we visited this Irish pub twice shows that we really liked it there and can definitely recommend it, especially if you want to have dinner in addition to your beer.

Enjoyed dinner at the Pillhofer on a quick two-night stay in Nuremberg (staying at the Park Plaza 100m away).A restaurant with a lot of character, dark woods etc etc which served up tasty food of a typical Bavarian/Franconian nature eg goulash soup, schnitzel etc with good beer.Portions are of a good size, quality was very good, prices, in my view, very reasonable.Service is very friendly with English spoken which is useful for those of us whose German is "shrecklich"One slight word of warning.Although I believe you could eat at ground level, we ate on the 1st floor which MAY prove awkward for those of reduced mobilityBut overall, very pleasant!

Stumbled across this restaurant/bar whilst looking for a bar for a few drinks. The atmosphere was really funky with all of the bamboo trees throughout and it was a chilled, ambient environment with really friendly staff. Loved the mats on the tables so much so we renamed the bar âcarpet tile barâ

I didnât have any food, so I canât add to the mixed reviews on this site, but the beer was tops, and the whisky uniquely excellent for a non English speaking country. The Rotes was tasty and complex, the Schwartzes malty yet refreshing and the Weizen, fruity and delicious. Tried three whiskies, all great. The Ayla was a personal fave. Hope to get back here again.

The burgers were absolutely amazing! Serving size is very good. We ordered strawberry lemonade which was delicious and I really liked the way it was served; in a nice bottle with a lime wedge, a strawberry and a slice of kiwi. Itâs really amazing that this place has a lot of vegetarian options. We ordered the sweet potato burger without the bun, and the spicy patty with avocado without the bun with a side of potato waffles. The waitress was super friendly and spoke very good English, which was super helpful! Itâs nice that there is an English menu available too! This place does get crowded around dinner time, so to be sure youâll get a seat itâs probably a good idea to reserve a table.. we didnât do that and we were just lucky that there were two seats empty.. which was very nice! Cute place, great staff and tasty food! Iâd definitely come back here!Thank you for your really nice review - we appreciate it much! We look forward to welcome you soon again at FIVE Diner!
