Was Back there recently again with my wife and friends. & the food and atmosphere were terrific. Reasonably priced, delicious drinks And great tasting food. I had shepherds pie which never disappoints and my wife said the disco burger was one of the best burgers she ever had. Our waitress was super friendly and pleasant and the place is casual, comfortable and a great local spot .

My wife and myself stopped here yesterday for lunch. While it is a chain establishment I must point out the friendly staff and terrific service. The manager even stopped by at our table to check on everything. We were even greeted by an employee holding the door open upon arriving and leaving. Salads and soups were fresh.

I was here for a large function; a group of 30+ of us, with the menu chosen ahead of time. The staff tried, but the kitchen couldn't keep up and it took a long time to be served (from drinks all the way through). Again, I know this isn't a typical situation. The food was okay. I would like to try this restaurant as a "normal" diner some time, not as part of a huge party.

This restaurant has been in Newton for many, many years, but a few years ago changed ownership. Renovated, new menu, etc. Offers some wild game in season.
This was an office lunch and we were excited after having seen the menu online. The service was very, very slow, even though we were apparently the only people there. The staff was pleasant and courteous. Greens of warm brie salad were overloaded with dressing and large clusters of sugared pecans too hard to eat comfortably. The crispy eggplant sandwich a good idea but not executed well. The thin slice of tomato and piece of roasted pepper not enough to compensate for extremely fried thinly sliced eggplant pieces on a dry white bread roll. Shoestring fries with skins were good.
