This is a pub in the lake district
We had a great meal here! The food was good value, nicely presented and service swift! We had intended to go to the Masons Arms however it was busy and seemed quite claustrophobic! Although we were passing here and popped in, we were really glad we found it! Thank you for your review, we are so glad you decided to stop off with us for a meal and glad you enjoyed! We look forward to welcoming you back in the near future.

We stopped by the Sun for dinner whilst camping in Hawkshead. Very friendly welcome and good selection of real ales. We ate the mushroom risotto and the veg curry, both of which were really tasty. Would happily return next time we visit the area.

The Crafty Baa Craft / Belgian/Craft beer fine wines Charcuterie Cheese Slates
We came here twice during our stay in Windermere and loved it. The owners were super friendly and even recognised us! As well as all the ales and beers to try thereâs great wine and delicious cheesy dishes - we tried the baked Camembert and the 3 cheese toastie - both delicious! Also loved the free bar nibbles and soda water that just kept coming :) the only tiny bit of feedback is that there isnât much on the menu for veggies - a few more non meat options would be the icing on the already very tasty cake! Thank you!

The Magic Roundabout in the centre of Bowness-on-Windermere. Cafe. Gin Bar. Restaurant. Smokehouse. Open daily serving from morning until late.
Went for lunch with family. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Ordered fish finger sandwich and tuna melt along with chunky chips. Bread extremely thick and needed more filling, fish fingers tasteless and tartre sauce appeared to be put on and taken off again. Same problem with tuna melt, lots of bread but very little filling. Weirdly both sandwiches served with nachos!! Chips frozen not edible. Bit of a disappointment, would try somewhere else next time.

Family owned and run Hotel, bar and restaurant in the Centre of Bowness on Windermere, the perfect place to stay for your Lake District break, within close walking distance of Lake Windermere and everything the area has to offer.
Managed to find a table here in busy Windermere. Good menu selection but we opted for the traditional Sunday lunch. The meals arrived piping hot with homemade Yorkshire puddings and fresh vegetables and roast potatoes. The only thing missing for me was mash potato which is my favourite on a Sunday lunch. Lovely place with great views, friendly staff and quick service. Worth the little walk up the hill. Dear Reviewer, please be aware that we no longer respond to your reviews on an individual basis. Just had a couple of nights here and what a great find. Perfect location in the middle of Windermere with off street parking. Lovely large room, big enough for a table and chairs in the window which we had our breakfast at. Staff lovely and friendly and very helpful, nothing was too much trouble. Had a meal here which was very nice. Would definitely stay here again.

Muddy boots, Children & Wet Dogs are all Welcome at The Cuckoo Brow Inn! From light bites to hearty meals, we ensure to have something for everyone.
Lovely quirky, Lakeland Pub and Hotel. The public areas are delightful and full of very comfy period furniture. |The food was very very good and the portions are massive. Be careful if you have a starter as you may not finish your main course! Nice friendly staff who provided a good table service.

Traditional Lakeland Country Inn next to Beatrix Potterâs Hill Top in the lovely village of Near Sawrey. With slate floors, open fire and oak beams we offer hearty and tasty food with local Cumbrian Real Ales, a fine wine selection and a good selection of
Popped in for a bit of lunch after visiting Beatrix Potter's house. Very relaxed atmosphere. We ordered sandwiches, a wine and a local beer and sat in the nice garden. Sandwiches came. Mine was absolutely full of beautiful ham, and my wife's must have had half a (smoked) salmon in it. Top notch. We didn't want to leave so had to order more drink. Glad we were travelling back to Bowness by Mountain Goat mini-bus and boat! Really good place.
