Lunch in Bar was by way of carvery with both hot & cold dishes on offer. Hot dishes covered the staples of meat with veg & potatoes. Good choices available. Cold consisted of cold meat, salads and rolls/sandwiches of your choice made while you wait. Overall lunch offering was good. food was excellent , sandwiches were handmade in front of you with plenty of filling. Yes i would go back there.

I would highly recommend this lovely restaurant for a special occasion meal. We held our christening meal here on a Sunday in June. Everything was so relaxed and stress free. From the initial booking with the very helpful Amy in events, everything ran so smoothly. It was incredibly good value (better than you could imagine!) and the restaurant is a beautiful space. The decor is gorgeous and the food was excellent. Most importantly the service was fantastic. Such friendly waiter and waitresses, nothing was too much trouble. We were 40 minutes late for the meal and they never once rang us or said it was a problem when we arrived. It was a warm day and we had a few boisterous children with us so it was great to see a door open where the children could play around the fountain outside, they loved it. They were a little crazy at times and never once did they say anything to us already stressed out parents, I wouldn't have blamed them if they had! Thankfully the restaurant was quiet that day so we felt like we had the place to ourselves. I set up a small cake table and everything was left out for us to serve the cake as dessert, they had no problem with us doing this and having a 2 course meal. The adult menu and the children's menu had plenty of choice to suit all tastes and everyone was happy. I would highly recommend Herold and Devoy for a special occasion, I was so impressed with everything from the price, service, food and decor. We will be back soon and although we live 30 minutes away it was well worth the journey.

The food here is nice, but the service could be better, itâs slow and they forgot part of my order so I had to ask for it. I had the chicken salad was really nice, and my guest had the sausage and mash which looked tasty. Reasonably priced.

First of all we had mid morning coffee with scones which were absolutely magnificent. Later we treated ourselves to afternoon tea and boy was that a treat. We were stuffed with all the lovely goodies we got. Such a treat. A must if you are nearby.

The Monread is an exciting new venture from Rhk Bars.Serving food 7 days a week . Cocktails, lavish desserts and craft beer.family friendly
This was my first time here so I was anxious to test it for myself. Firstly I was surprised at such an extensive menu, it actually took us a good ten minutes to decide. Myself and daughter had exactly the same chicken with rice and chips, onion and peppers with curry sauce. Portions are a good size and one will not leave hungry. Service was excellent and as we were there after the main lunch time, which I always find is a good time to eat anywhere. There is a lot going on here, karaoke, ladies night, football and rugby on T.V. for the lads. All in all a great pub/restaurant with good food, good atmosphere and something for everyone.Wheelchairs can enter by the side door and a wheelchair toilet is also available. This was my first visit but not my last.

Part of Cookes Pub in Caragh we offer a delicious range of bar bites to suit all tastes, from Louisianna Wings to Pizzas.
As one of our party had food allergies and intolerances, we emailed in advance and communication was friendly with very quick response rate. The menu was sent and a good variety was available for our planned Sunday Lunch with a ready willingness to adapt. An excellent first impression. We were there for Sunday Lunch and had a choice of the lounge or the restaurant and opted for the restaurant so that we could enjoy our conversation. Food was served in a timely manner, without feeling rushed. Options were explained clearly and adjustments were made to accommodate allergies without fuss and very pleasantly. It was quiet and peaceful there until a diner arrived with strident voice!Starters: We enjoyed the bruschetta and the chicken wings.Mains: My friend was full of praise for the linguine which he described as full of flavour and was very impressed by it. He promised to return!I decided to go for the pork for a change, with adjustments, and gave it the seal of approval. We passed on dessert and finished our meal as usual with coffee. We look forward to going back again. This visit ended just in time as a large party was arriving.

Staying for three days. Quite pleasant. Room spacious and service daily. Breakfast and service good ( didn't choose hot food options). I arrived with a friend tonight for dinner at 9.33 pm and a very rude waitressing said " kitchen closed" and walked away. Her manner was appalling. I asked the pleasant receptionist if she could intervene. She said it wasn't her area and she would contact the assistant manager. We choose to leave before we heard the outcome. I think both of us wanted " gone," after meeting the rude waitress.
