Reviews on Bar food in Mystic, Connecticut, United States. Swab the decks, batten down the hatches and get ready to set sail for a weekend of adventure in Mystic, Connecticut's seaside city devoted to all things maritime. From the popular Mystic Seaport, a recreated 19th-century seafaring village, to the newly updated Mystic Aquarium, where you can mingle with beluga whales, seals and dolphins, there is something nautical at every turn. The Colonial period buildings of Olde Mystick Village offer a few tasty seafood restaurants, historical atmosphere and a multitude of unique gift shops. While most of Mystic's attractions have a marine theme, there are a couple of exceptions: landlubbers may want to check out the Mystic Art Association's galleries and studios, which showcase the work of local and regional artists. Or have a lunch at Mystic Pizza, the eatery made famous by the Julia Roberts movie of the same name. From restaurants with plenty of crayons and kid's menus to hotels with puppet shows and bedtime story hours, everything about Mystic is geared toward children, making it a fun and educational family getaway. And for adults, the nearby Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casino complexes are a sure bet for entertainment.

corned beef is my favorite thing as is shepard pie and so my friend and I without the ladies decided to have an afternoon off and just relax. and we did here. we each had one beer with our great lunch. now it was a late lunch and lasted till after 8 at night. So it was a few more beers and for guys who hardly ever drink it became a great day. It had some live music come on and since I only live ten miles away we did not want not to have more food. It was so good it was my second corned beef sandwich,an order of shepard pie and one more beer. It was truly a great afternoon/night out. Truly a fun time for both of us. We will go back again to be sure.service was very good, food outstanding, music was really good and we did relax.perhaps a bit more than we thought we might. If you like a good Irish place then go here when in Mystic,Ct.

Quaint space with scenic water views offering upscale seafood & American entrees, plus a raw bar.
We dined at the Harbour House Restaurant in Mystic last evening. We were seated at a cozy table in front of the fireplace on a very chilly, raw night so the atmosphere in the restaurant was wonderful. The service was flawless and the entrees were delicious. My wife chose tuna and I selected the bouillabaisse. Both dishes were excellent. We live in Florida now but had spent the previous thirty years in Connecticut on the shoreline, about 30 miles west of Mystic but had never visited the Harbour House. For anyone living near Mystic or just âpassing throughâ I would highly recommend this great restaurantâ-donât miss it!

Mystic Pizza was one of our stops on the recent New England road trip I took with my wife and 1-year old sonIâve never seen the movie, but I love pizza, so when my wife put it on our âMust Seeâ list, I was down. We were just driving though Mystic and not staying there, so finding a parking spot was a huge pain in the ass. We ended up in a residential area and had to walk a bit to the restaurant. The place was pretty busy but the friendly hostess still accommodated us and set us up with a high chair at a booth. The service was just as good. I had the chicken gorgonzola pizza, wings, and some local craft beer. My wife had the Mediterranean pizza. For my son, we ordered what may be the best looking kids grilled cheese sandwich Iâve ever seen. Everything was delicious! The restaurant in general was very cozy and full of nostalgia. I wish we had more time to spend in Mystic (which looked like such a cool little town) so that I could come back for seconds!

My wife and I stopped in during an overnight stay in Mystic. I chose this restaurant based on the TripAdvisor reviews. This place is centrally located in downtown Mystic. It was a busy Saturday night, so it took about 30 minutes to get a table. The restaurant is clean and tastefully decorated. The manager was great. He was personable and professional. The server (Keely?) was very friendly, knew the menu, and was very efficient with her service. We ordered the clam chowder, fish n chips, and the Black fish special. All the food was tasty, but the chowder was one of the best I ever had (and I grew up in Massachusetts and vacation every year in Maine). The chowder was thick and well seasoned. I will return to the Mariner the next time Iâm in the area. We're so glad you enjoyed everything at The Mariner. We're pretty proud of our clam chowder here. Hope to see you again very soon!
