Small, uniquely decorated restaurant. Lots of old lunch boxes and other interesting memorabilia. Keeps you entertained while waiting for you food. Service was very good as was the Vermont Company coffee. I ordered the Caesar salad and a cup of the âworld famous chowderâ. The Caesar salad is a $9 huge bowlful of lettuce with some croutons and a smattering of dressing. Totally unimpressive. The chowder was good but Iâve had better. It had shrimp, clams, bacon, celery, carrots, onion and was supposed to have smoked sausage but I didnât have any in mine. My spouse ordered the Eggs benedict with sourdough bread, bacon, spinach, poached eggs, and a small side salad. He said it was ok but nothing special. So a lot of nothing special for $40. I really wanted to like this place but we wonât be back.

Had visitor from out of state and wanted to find a bar/restaurant outside of Burlington due to congestion from UVM graduation traffic. Family member who lives in Mallets Bay suggested The Pickled Perch and agreed to meet us there. Upon entering, it seemed a little too loud for conversation, but once acclimated, it was fine. We loved the location and food. Mandy, our server was very helpful and fun. She brought a sample of Mr. Fox Red Ale and it was terrific. The fishwich was delicious with a light batter. Either cod or haddock. The lobster taco was loaded with fresh lobster. Fries were great. Good time, good friends, good food and good service. Can't ask for much more.

I loved Rozzi's Lakeshore Tavern. Modest on the outside but a great little hopping pub on the inside. There is a bar area and a dining area and also outdoor seating. We sat in the dining area. Service was very friendly and the food was DELICIOUS. I had the French Onion Soup and a 14 oz steak with mashed potatoes and corn on the cob. One of the best steaks I ever had ... seriously. Mmmmm, that grill taste but not overcooked. Get it "medium" and see what I mean. I loved this place.

Enjoy the best of pub fare served in a casual setting. The Tavern at The Essex features an expanded bar area along with seasonal patio seating adjacent to the East Lawn and the Resort's vegetable and herb gardens, providing diners with a more secluded al
The tavern is a lively place for good food and music, great beer flights & Bourbon selection. Plus they have Heady Topper IPA which is hard to get further south

After a pleasantly rugged day around Burlington VT we tried the restaurant next to our hotel. The ambience is pleasant, our server was fantastic and the food was good. I had teriyaki steak tips.. delicious. They have a good kids menu. For parents on a budget, the place isn't cheap. But we aren't on a budget and had a nice time.

The service was very good. Prompt attention upon arrival and almost immediate response by server once we were seated.Friendly staff, too. Very nice menu selections. Broad local VT craft beers choices. Our food was prepared very well. Baked New England style haddock for me, with fresh green beans and mashed potatoes. The haddock was prepared very nicely in a wine sauce. If there is a negative it is the speed of the service. Our food came out very quickly after our drinks were delivered. I had taken a couple of sips for example. I prefer not to drink beer with the meal, but before as a relaxation method. Because of the fast delivery time, the restaurant lost out on a two drink order form us.

A great place to go for good restaurant/pub food, a full bar, and get-togethers with friends. Most of the time when I have eaten here it has been with friends --- never have been here solo. I often have burgers or nachos or chicken wings (winging it!) --- love 'em all. The waitstaff has always been very friendly and accommodating. Good place to eat and drink and relax.

I would not suggest going there if you are not from around the area. The wait staff were attentive and somewhat friendly, but the place is overrun by locals, and they are rude and inappropriate. The atmosphere is unwelcoming and if you are looking for something to eat after 9pm, this place isn't for you. It's geared toward locals and if your out of town or not from the area, I would not suggest this place. Extremely disappointed.

We visited Rick's for the first time Friday evening,15 June. It won't be the last time! Reba was our excellent waitress, can't say enough good things about her service.I had the fried haddock with fries and coleslaw. The fish was delish! The crust was very good, but the fish was definitely the star of the show. Really tender and flaky, one of the best fried fish I ever had.My wife had the portobello burger with sweet potato fries, and they were both excellent. Our friend had the sirloin burger with sweet potato fries, and she said hers was very good, too.Bottom line, we had a most enjoyable meal, and will look forward to returning soon.
