It was listed as being 200yds from the canal, longest 200yds I have ever walked, think it termed "a country 200yds"..more like 600yds.

We visited the Tollgate Inn with other family members including two children for Sunday lunch. The food was all very good, excellent roast beef, plentiful portions with all the trimmings you would expect. The desserts were also delicious. We all enjoyed our meals very much. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant has fairly rustic decor which we liked but we found the chairs rather too firm and hard. The large car park ensures there is no trouble finding a space. Thank you.

We serve classic pub food lunchtimes Mon - Sun 12-3 and evening meals Mon - Sat 6pm -9pm.
A traditional pub just off the village green(ideal for visiting the Courts NT in Holt). We had a very good two course lunch - from a menu with plenty of choice (inc vegan). We like the fact that there is a choice between large and small helpings as one of us (not me!) does not eat so much.

The Bell is a friendly, family run pub on the outskirts of the beautiful National Trust village of Lacock.
Good grub served by staff, worth a visit if you are in the area. Barman in particular provided excellent customer service.

A traditional English pub in a beautiful waterside setting with moorings for the barges. Great award winning Wadworth real ales on draught. Our team of skilled chefs' pride themselves in serving freshly prepared, great tasting dishes using fresh, local, s

The Greyhound is a lovely village pub which appears to have been quite recently refurbished to create a nice atmosphere and setting. We all had the Sunday lunch which was really good. All of it was really well cooked and very large portions. All the veg was hot and freshly cooked which makes a nice change compared to some places. The highlight for me was the Yorkshire puddings which were excellent. Extra gravy was also provided which is always a bonus. The pub has a good range of nice ales on to compliment the food. Another redeeming factor for choosing this pub was the service, all the members of staff were really friendly and did whatever they could to make your visit as enjoyable as possible. I'm looking forward to returning.

We are in a central position in the small village of Seend Cleeve, Wiltshire, not far from the Barge Inn. Seend Cleeve is served by the Kennett & Avon Canal which is a short walk from The Brewery Inn and is popular with the local community, boating enthus
Only one thing saved this from a zero and that was the barmaid. If you book lunch for 12.30 you do not expect to wait until 13.15 for any food. You do not expect to have to listen to a domestic between the landlord and his staff The food was awful and I do not expect to wait so long for the bill when we only want to leave and there were only 4 other customers in the bar. We have been lucky enough to eat all over the worlds. This apart from Rachel was the pits!

After being closed for over a year The Pear Tree Inn has been carefully restored as a farmhouse kitchen with bar & rooms. It has a relaxed & rustic appeal to the locally sourced menu & reclaimed quirky decor. An old stone build farmhouse with rug strewn f
We enjoyed two nights stay at the Pear Tree, on arrival you feel yourself relax, get out your book and enjoy a G and T. Friendly staff who were always helpful and professional. The menu is great and gluten free (which I need) choices are extensive, with the kitchen happy to adapt to suit. Rooms are tastefully decorated and we really enjoyed having patio doors to a small private garden space next to the wooded area. Squirrels and bird life in abundance. But the room was smaller than expected, especially the bathroom where you have to think to shut the door to access the loo.
