A family group of 6 really enjoyed our Sunday Lunch last weekend. We had a choice of 2 starters/2 mains and a range of desserts. Service was first class, the food was plentiful and tasty, with ample portions. All of the staff were very helpful & we must compliment the landlord on his welcome - will definitely go back.Just a note for Trip Advisor site management - the post code is shown incorrectly and should be LN3 5AE [not LN5 3AE]

Nice pub on outskirt of market rasen looked like a typical village pub. Wood burning stove in the hearth gave reel rustic smell of wood smoke. Had steak and ale pie which was packed full of tender chunks of steak with a pastry lid and chunky homemade chips and fresh podded peas. The children's chicken nuggets was a hit too. Staff very friendly would definitely recommend

Its a strange quirky place regards decor etc, it also has a Mini Shop inside (really mini as it a couple of shelves behind the bar.Staff were friendly, beer was very well kept so a good pint.The food we had was good, but served on cold plates and dishes so the food was cooling on the plates but was hot when served.

We recently visited with two friends for a Fish & Chip supper.Our food was delicious with fish being cooked in beer batter with excellent portions. A good variety of sweets - if you have any room left. All very pleasantly served by the Chef & (presumably) his Wife. We were very impressed & will certainly go back as soon as possible.

Visited again for Sunday Lunch with my Wife Daughter and her Husband. The Sunday Lunch carvery was excellent as usual with good choice of vegetables.You picked your own vegetables and was asked which meats you required.For dessert that was brought to the table.A very good country type atmosphere.

Called at the Aston Arms proper market place pub, a bit rough and ready but good selection of beers and spirits. Nice beer garden but very close to the main road. Garden furniture has seen better days. Staff helpful and friendly.

Lovely pub, always done nice food and beer has gotten even better by doing genuine italian food on friday and saturday evenings. That has been sorely lacking in this area with grimsby being the location of the nearest italian. Would highly reccomend the calamari from the starters.Italian is still running on Fridays and Saturdays at the moment so come back and sample our Italian delights again.

We stopped off here for lunch and ordered the Risotto and a Philly steak sandwich. Both were good size protions and well cooked. There was only one young girl serving who was very pleasant and professional. Service was prompt and the food very good. Overall, a very good experience and would definietly visit again.

We booked fo 10 of us and arrived a little early for our table. We were still warmly welcomed. The food was stunning, especially the gammon steak. Enjoyed by the adults and children. Ate here for two nights whilst staying close by. Very busy pub and to book a table is a must. Two nights of superb dining and the Sea Bass was, probably, the best I have ever eaten. Highly recommend
