Went to Motown/Northern Soul night with a large group of friends as this is as âOur Kind of Music â Was impressed with the layout of the pub , thought it would be small and poky , but the landlord has made great use of the outside space . Me and a few friends decided to hit somewere different for a change. And what a surprise we had. Tucked away down a small country lane. But defo worth the drive. Loads of outside seating. As well as inside. Never got to try the menu but something cooking on coals smelt amazing... Well worth the trek. Family, dog and horse welcome. Prepare to be surprised, entertained.So much to entertain your eyes. I even found a well used scrabble board so be prepared to stay a while and enjoy the silence of this hidden gemThank you very much for such a great review! It has been some time since we last visited this pub for a meal because last time we came here we were very disapointed especially as the food here had always been very good. Fast forward a couple of years to today and my wife and I were driving past to see a pub garden full of people enjoying the last Rays of summer so we stopped off to have a quick drink which ended up with us having one of the best pub Sunday lunches ever. Well worth a visit and we will be back very soon to try out their evening menus which looks very enticing indeed.

We had initially booked a table for 2pm but due to a miscommunication with family members I went in to try and change the table to later. I was met by Scott who managed to get us a table but explained that we could only have it until 6:45 which was absolutely fine by us. Upon arriving at the restaurant, Scott made us all feel very welcome, really made a fuss of our children, took time to chat to us and was extremely attentive and also very funny throughout the course of our meal. Went back after a long absence. Why had I waited? Meal was excellent, staff friendly, prices reasonable. Place has a great atmosphere. The choice of food is great, the portions are huge, the service is great attentive but no overbearing, the waitresses were young but had great customer service old heads on young shoulders. You could say parking is limited which it is but just up the road and ample parking therefore not a big problem. We will definitely return.

What a gem of a restaurant pub this is, the staff, led by Tracey were all attentive yet not in your face and all helped to make my birthday celebrations a night to remember.The food was fantastic and we really couldn't fault it, one of our party is known for her fussiness and thoroughly enjoyed her meal(eh mum ). We had 3 courses and weren't waiting long at all for each, hot food was indeed hot and equally so(no hot steak and cold mushrooms here).Thank you Yew Tree Inn for a truly great night, I cannot recommend you highly enough.Dear Rik B,Thank you for your delightful comments Rik, it was lovely talking to you and we are pleased you had a great night, on what was your Birthday, family celebration.
