We were a family of 11 who had walked a stretch of the Anglesey coastal footpath. We had pre booked tables and arrived both thirsty and hungry. The staff were all very friendly particularly John who did a brilliant job of looking after us. The food was delicious! 11 very satisfied customers.

Family Owned Freehouse serving homemade fresh food with a good selection of wines, beers and a large selection of malt whiskys. Groups, Children and dogs welcome
I usually recommend this place to people but today was disappointed. 10 of us were eating. Mixed reviews by everyone. Carvery - after the meat was placed on my plate, i had to wait quite a while for the veg to be replenished. Could not eat the ham, was way to salty. Others complained the gravy was watery, roasties and parsnips were dry. Dessert - apple crumble came with half a scoop of ice cream, by the time it was returned with more ice cream, around 10mins later, obviously the crumble was cold. There was around 20mins from when the first pudding was brought out, to when the last came. I will return, as iâm hoping today was just a blip!! It was busy there. Pizzas are awesome on their pizza night!!Yes it was busy on sunday but as a small family run buisness we always want to ensure that our customers enjoy their visit and are not disappointed. we always endevour to improve so thankyou for the feedback and hopefully you will not be disappointed next time!ThanksJohn and Louise

I have been going to the cwellyn arms for 6 years,it is where me and my partner had our 1st proper date so is a special place to us,food has always been amazing but today it was awful, the burger was dry and tasteless, the chips had no taste at all,the garlic bread was solid and the roast was nit the best, when we where asked was food ok I should have spoken out but didnt,I feel really bad writing this review as the place means so much to me and my partner but we won't be coming back Thank you for your review.I wish to apologise that you found our food was not up to our usual standard and also that you feel a bit upset. It is a shame that you did not tell us at the time. The main reason for the server checking on the food is to give us the opportunity to correct anyproblems with your order.I will be checking with our Head Chef to find out what went wrong.I do hope that you will give us another chance.

I cant say no more really apart from thank you & see you again on our next trip up!Hi James, Thank you for your kind review , it was our pleasure to welcome you and your family. We look forward to seeing you again if and when you visit Wales.Best wishes

We had a lovely meal here from the Sunday menu. The burger was absolutely delicious and top quality steak. My partner had a pie that was to die for...the beef in it was perfectly slow-cooked. Well recommended if you're staying at the hotel or just happen to be in Llanberis.

Visited twice during our holiday in the area. It is a local pub and restaurantThe staff were very nice and friendly. The food is reasonably priced, plentiful and delicious. Had lamb shank (my favourite) which was delicious. Our second visit had a steak offer of a drink and 8oz sirloin for £13.50. It was beautifully cooked and another generous portion. Can't recommend it enough.

The location could not be better, and the hotel itself is a wonderful building dating from the 1830s. Sadly the food wasnât great. The burger, while it appeared to be made of good quality beef, was a bit flavourless and had a too-sweet bun. The chips were dreadfully salty, so much so that I was thirsty all night. The restaurant room itself is lovely, with an amazing conservatory, though sadly the original ceiling seems to have been lowered.Otherwise an excellent place to stay with great beer downstairs.

We have a 100 cover restaurant in three rooms with a friendly, homely atmosphere. There is a Garden room with views of the mountains and lake, our copper bar room with a film theme that includes posters of the famous films that have been filmed in the Lla
We stopped here for an evening meal. A great place to eat with a nice garden and views. A large restaurant with plenty on offer. Was not particularly busy when we dined around 7pm mid May. Staff were friendly and food was good, although I did find the portion size of the chilli con Carne a bit on the small size. My partner had one of the burgers and was fully satisfied.

For a relaxed gathering of friends, this place is perfect. It is no frills, very much a place for hikers, climbers and outdoor types. But the thing that draws locals is not the accommodation but the food - and that food is PIZZA ! There are a wide range available, with order forms and pencils on the table. Choose your base, add your extra's and sides and then take to the bar and order, pay and return with your drink (guest ales available). The only downside, if in a large group (i.e. 4 or more) the pizza's, as they are cooked individually, come out in pairs. So if you all want to start eating at the same time, it's not going to work - but on the up side your pizza will be fresh and hot straight from the oven.Well worth a visit - friendly local Welsh speaking staff - parking limited, but walkable from Llanberis is staying locally.
