Came in for date night with the husband, had the salmon pasta and was actually amazed at how good it was, the staff put the experience over the top! I was served by a younger gentleman named Jaz who had really good banter and made my night. Will be back for the next date nightThanks for the kind review We're glad you enjoyed your experience with us at Fabric !
That all to often sickly feeling of another train cancellation with #scotfail and a monthly pass of £400+ making me judge sanity has taken me close to the edge. The one crumb of comfort is this pub. Right next to the station and makes 30, 60 sometimes more minute delays even enjoyable.Always nice atmosphere, decent locals, 3 guest ales and Guiness on tap. Nice traditional decor. Would come here outside train problems.

I visited as a dad with two young kids. The kids meals arrived first and they consisted of 2 bowls of offee cooked and dried out pasta which were a disgrace. Thankfully the staff acknowledged the poor quality and returned them to thw kitchen. The replacements were a massive difference bit you have to question the quality of thw kitchen staff that allowed the dried up pasta to be issued as a acceptable in thw first place.Unable to recommend nor will i be back. Hi Glasgowhappyholidays, I'm really disappointed we've let you down and received this poor rating. Decided to try the star and garter tonight but I was disappointed. My husband ordered lasagne which is said was nice and wholesome and I ordered the haddock and chips. The chips were nice, the peas not heated enough but the fish was cremated. The batter was so crisp I could hardly cut it. The wine and the coffees were ok. We were not charged for the coffees because of the poor meal.

Visited here for a quick lunch.A very good range of options available. I'd go as far as saying something for everyone. Prices were average and in line with most places in linlithgow. Good space between tables - didn't feel hemmed in. Staff very welcoming. Didn't feel rushed at all.Food itself was nice, well presented, hot and very filling.Would definitely recommend

Our new extended restaurant has a country inn feel and vibrant contemporary touches. With a fresh new menu, relaxed atmosphere and excellent service, the West Port is one of the best places to eat in Linlithgow.
We decided not to be put off by some negative reviews and went there for dinner. I had the lamb shank and if was excellent. My husband had a steak which was good. It was pouring with rain and we were happy there was a car park. I definitely recommend the place. Thanks so much for taking the time to review the West Port. We are so glad that you had a fantastic time and enjoyed our food. Thank you for the recommendation, and we hope to welcome you back again soon.

We went for dinner yesterday evening and I phoned about 2 hours before just to make sure of a table. We hadnât been to the Bistro for well over a year. Although itâs an all year round place, I think it comes into its own with the good weather. Itâs setting is priceless sitting just off the scenic canal banks with lush farmland all around. Inside not a lot had changed. It still had an open and airy ambience and the friendly and welcoming staff were still present. The menu had changed a little to in that the specials used to be on a board but now they are on the first page of an extensive menu which also offers choices for the gluten free and vegetarian guests. We opted for starters and main with wine and a cappuccino each to finish. We both had the lentil soup and my wife said she couldnât have made better herself. Defo a compliment. The bill was mid range pricing but without doubt great value. Hopefully it wonât be a year plus to our next visit. Parking is no problem and there is even an overflow car park when busy. Worth a visit if you are in the area.
