The Boonies sells authentic Texas style BBQ. The Brisket is Angus and the ribs and are both imported. Chef Ney GARRIDO and his team use cooking facilities that are shocking. The smoker is a sight to behold, but it produces some of the best Texas style smoked product. The best in the DR for sure. Ney produces some amazing meals. I am a sucker for the seared Tuna. Amazing product and amazing results from this tiny kitchen. The menu has a nice variety of of great food at great prices, don't forget he also has a Pizza oven. His staff are a delight.

We have spent two great evenings in Soho enjoying their great hospitality and delicious food. First evening we ordered starters only: Chicken Wings and Fish and Chips. Both were extraordinary delicious and portions were big. We got service in english. It was very positive that waitresses who were not speaking english were still checking that we have all we need and food is according our expectations. Interior is very cozy and place is clean.In our 2nd visit we ordered two different kind of pastas and food was just amazing. Service equally good as first time we visited in Soho.Strong recommendation to visit during your stay in Las Terrenas.

My husband and I were celebrating at the restaurant our wedding anniversary. Why did we choose it? At first glance, it seems simple and inconspicuous. But! That's where we found the perfect combination of scenes and charm of the Dominican Republic with the romance.Typical "simple" Dominican furnishings with simple wooden furniture and decorative fishing net from above. But, at the same time very festive due to the white tables, chairs and tastefully decorated table on the background of the ocean. Soft clean sand underfoot, branches of palm trees, which perfectly fit into the frame of each photo, and the waves drove straight to your table. All this gave us impassable feeling that you are in paradise.. in the Dominican Republic..Thanks to the advice of the owner, we arrived a little earlier than planned and had the opportunity to enjoy the sunset in the lagoon. Absolutly fantastic!!! The restuarant has the Ideal location from which to watch the sunset and enjoy a romantic dinner.. The romantic mood did not pass even after darkness. Reasonable layout with non-intrusive electric lights, candles on the table, and the lights of the other restaurants along the lagoon.. Do not be concerned (like my husband in the beginning) that the restaurant is located next to the road. We did not hear anything from passing cars or mopeds! We heard only the whisper of the ocean waves. The lights from passing cars even provided more romantic charm for our video footage.I will not go into the details of the food products that we ate or drank.. I can only say that what the French owner/chef provided was absolutely fantastic with good service and at the end we were treated to wonderful(!) homemade(!) ice cream.. yammi!p.s. We are DR residents and not tourists who tend to be impressed with every beach and every tree :) So we are always looking for something special and this restuarant suited all our wishes and vision for our special evening.With all my heart and clear conscience we recommend and encourage you to try everything yourself.. The most romantic place in the whole of Las Terrenas..

Family-owned Classic Italian restaurant with excellent service and home made food. With a "horno de leña" you should not miss its thin Italian style pizza. Pasta is home made, cooked to perfection and full of natural flavors. If your are looking for good food in at not push place, Da Max is your dinning place!!

They import their own beer from Europe and also plan to set up their own micro brewery by the end of 2018. In my opnion the best beer in town at best price.They also offer wide assortment of sausages Lastly breakfast at RD125, thw works : eggs, ham, bread, fruit salad and coffee.

We wanted pizza so we went to another place which turned out to be closed, and I'm glad it was. Service was great. Had the pepperoni pizza and it was superb. Great place to people watch, right on the corner. We will definitely go back.

During the 3 nights, we spent on Las Terrenas, this was the only place we repeated!Food is really good, attention and service from the servers and the owner were great, they make you feel at home.On food, the absolute winner is the Guisado de rabo, a cow tail cooked with spices, tender and full of flavor.Also, the Ropa Vieja, de Moros & Cristianos, the fried plantains and yuca are great.About Mojitos, even they have an extense menu on options -we tried de passion fruit one and it was good- i prefer to stay with the original, amazing!Prices are fair, absolutely, we'll be back when we return to Las Terrenas.

I tried this restaurant for lunch with my boyfriend. I ordered the cheeseburger and he ordered chicken fingers and fries. My hamburger meat had an off taste so I sent it back and completely lost my appetite. My boyfriend said his chicken fingers were mediocre. The fingers came with 6 pieces and the side of fries were an additional cost. Overall very expensive for what you get. I would not eat here again. We ordered several appetizers including the lobster with ham and croquettes. The lobster was chewy and dry. The chicken croquettes were okay, but the seafood croquettes were ICE COLD. When we inquired about it the waitress said she can warm them up, not replace them with another order, but literally microwave them. The shrimp pasta was okay, and the tuna Tataki was okay as well, although the rice that came with it was dry and undercooked. The wine we ordered was great. Iâm not sure where all these great reviews are coming from, maybe it was an off night, but it did seems wierd that the restaurant was practically empty.
