Find out what Bar restaurants to try in Lansing. The birthplace of the Oldsmobile and Michigan's automotive center, Lansing offers visitors a number of car-related sites like plant tours and automobile museums, but there are other forces driving this capital city. On the political side, there's the award-winning State Capitol Building, completely restored in 1992, where tourists are wowed by the glass-floor rotunda and acres of decorative handpainted surfaces. The Michigan Historical Museum, which boasts a great collection of items from Michigan's past, including a recreated copper mine, will please history buffs. Children and families will enjoy taking a camel ride at the Potter Park Zoo or spending the day biking through Sleepy Hollow State Park. On the cultural side, the nearby campus of Michigan State University is a must-see for the Kresge Museum and for the beautiful campus itself. Entertaining and educational attractions, great shopping, fabulous restaurants and a variety of affordable accommodations make Lansing worth the ride.

It is a great local spot that feels like home. Clean place with very friendly staff. Simple menu with several off-menu specials each day. I have visited several times with co-workers for lunch. Every time was a good experience with great meals.

EagleMonk is off the beaten path and has a loyal local following of Lansing folks. Depending on the night, they have live music, trivia night, local artist displays, and a terrific pizza special on Sunday. We usually go with a group. While tiny, there always seems to be a way to fit a few more folks around a table. Besides several tasty beers they also have homemade soft drinks, including a spicy root beer. As an older person I do find it hard to hear sometimes, but that is common in brew pubs. They are closed on Monday.

We are Lansing's first distillery. Ever. We make inventive, hand-made spirits of remarkable quality. Then use our spirits for creative cocktails, in a friendly, educational environment.
The decor is excellent the drinks are superb, the spirits are exquisite , and the location is perfect. Stopped in on a whim that it would be something different, Rick Wyble not only has something different but has something special in Lansing. The drink menu is fabulous my wife and I each had a few drinks and they were great. Went on the tour and Rick was great, he is passionate about what he does and is great to talk to about the craft spirit business. I live some 400 miles from Lansing but will visit here next time I'm in town for sure.

We are excited to have our own smokehouse located on the outdoor patio of each of our Finley's locations -- where we smoke our meats (Texas Beef Brisket, Georgia-style Pulled Pork, Michigan Raised "White Meat" Turkey, St. Louis Ribs and more) all low and
We were seated and waited for 10 minutes for our server that never came. Servers walked around and no one ever said hi, we will be right with you, nothing. So we walked out. Very disappointed. We will never come back.Hello-So sorry to hear this happened! I'm sending this to the GM right now to find out who was working that evening and what the story is. It's not rocket science to say "Hi, someone will be right with you" and we are truly very sorry this happened. Can we make it up to you? I can assure you that this is not normal for us and your next visit would be much better. Please email me: [email protected] and I would like to send you something..Thanks!

MBC touched greatness in the mid-to late oughts - excellent beer, affable service, good food. Over the last few years, everything has fallen apart. Beers are frequently unavailable, and the food is middling. Most striking is the shoddy service, particularly the don't-care, unfriendly service at the bar. Myself and several colleagues were frequent visitors for some time, but the stops became rarer and rarer as the service ebbed, until it dropped off the list of meeting places.. I tried it once more recently, and nothing has changed. Someone needs to get hustling on the hiring, grab a strong brew master and chef, and make MBC great again, as it can be.

This Irish Pub actually felt like an Irish Pub, fireplace, decor of dark woods, the menu of traditional Irish dishes, (the brats n sauerkraut...yum). Great food, reasonably priced, service was fine. Might have to return when the bands are there, Iâm thinking itâd be a great time!

In the 1980s, I lived and worked in Lansing, and this was our go to late night joint. Itâs a reliable good time bar that keeps the beer cold and serves the best burgers and fries in the Capital. I went back recently, and Iâm happy to report that itâs unchanged. Happy trails.

Craft beer, boutique wine, classic cocktails. Plus gourmet wood-fired pizza and more from The Cosmos!
As far as your Lansing options go, this is one of the better places. That being said, if in any real city, it would be average. Zoobies is known as a trendy cocktail place with good food, particularly the pizzas they serve from their neighbor/sister restaurant Cosmos next door. The cocktails are okay â not the best but certainly better than most establishments in Lansing. They have great beer on rotating taps. FThe food is good. The pizza is creative and tasty. (Again, itâs not real Italian or NYC pizza but a solid midwestern artisan pizza). One pizza for two to three people works well, depending on how hungry everyone is and whether you get an appetizer or salad. The salads are good and come with choice of steak or jerk chicken topping. The music is too loud. I visited with two friends and we had to shout across the small table at each other even though the restaurant was only moderately busy. During a break in the music, we could hear each other fine. Thatâs really an unfortunate aspect of the atmosphere. I return again and again because it really is one of the best places in Lansing to get some grub and have a decent beverage. (Would be vastly improved if it could actually hear the voices of my friends.)

Started inside but because it was so crowded, we couldn't hear each other let alone conversation across the table. We asked to sit outdoors even though it was very hot outside. Both servers and hosts were very good. No food this time but did enjoy our beer, Angry Mayor is a solid IPA and Amber Cream a smooth lighter beer.
