Went on a Saturday night and it wasn't packed so we got a cozy table for 2. We started off with an order of Onion Rings and 2 drinks. LARGE Portions here! My wife had steak Salad and I ordered the shrimp Caesar wrap. Both were very good and we received very good service. The only thing that stops me from issuing a 5 is the cost of drinks, pricy. $8.50 for a 16 ounce craft beer is a bit to high for me...

First time visitor. "Initial" impression was good. Nice outdoor covered deck, appears to be well maintained. Seated on one of the high tables near the banister. At the time thinking, I could see me coming back to this place. THEN it started going downhill...........FAST! The table had routered grooves to make it look like it was made out of several boards. The grooves were full of dirt. Don't know when it was cleaned last. Impression of waitress was one of a don't really care attitude. That proved correct. Did not order alcohol. Soft drinks were in cans with plastic cups. YUK! Ordered a half rack of ribs. When the food arrived, it was not a half rack, but six bones with the sparse meat on them cut off the rack. Looks like they are trying to up their profit margin by charging high price and offering minimal quantity. Sauce was bland. Waitress never came back to ask how everything was, or if she can get us anything else. When check arrived, my clothes went out of style waiting for her to come back to take payment. Do yourself a favor and avoid this clip joint.

This is a great restaurant and bar. They have plenty of seating for families or for couples/friends sitting at the bar. Must try the wings and their secret homemade sauces on their Teriyaki burger! Jukebox and posters covered walls taking you back in time. A must go and taste!

The place is a little run down and a few bucks could breathe new life back into this historic building... so much potential.

Views of Lake Wallenpaupack, menu with lots of choices and good drink menu. Our waitress was friendly and efficient. Food was excellent - I had seafood cakes and my wife had pasta. We also shared a coconut shrimp appetizer, which was terrific. The restaurant can get crowded, and they only take reservations for geoups of 5 or more. Will be back again the next time we are in the area.

I had been to this restaurant twice before with my husband. Even with a reservation, we had to wait to be seated. I made reservations approximately three weeks in advance for my family of 6 for July 6. We arrive to find out the entire restaurant is closed to the public for a wedding!! They said they called all of their reservations earlier in the week to change plans, however, I never received a call. It was a wedding! Not like it was thrown together that afternoon- the restaurant must have known well in advance. They were very sorry. My friend makes a reservation on Open Table for a party of 8 for Sat, Aug. 10. We had 11 in our party and wanted the upper deck so on Tues prior to our reservation, he went there and was told by an assistant manager that our table would be for 11 on the upper deck. Upon arriving, they could not accommodate us at all outside, had no knowledge of the assistant managers conversation with us, and could place us in the front of the inside room. They were very sorry....again.Without any sorrow on my part, I will never dine there again.Dear CarolynS787,We're disappointed to read your review of Glass-wine.bar.kitchen. When we have buy out weddings, we close off our reservations. If it is a last minute situation, you should have received a call about your reservation. If you did not receive a call then we do apologize for the miscommunication. Regarding the August 10th experience, we always try to honor reservations. However in this case we could not honor it because we did not have the tables to set up on the upper deck for this request due to high volume. We apologize for this situation and the resulting disappointment. We would like to speak to you personally about this experience. Please email our manager Doug at [email protected] or call us at 570.226.1337. We hope to win you over with our service in the future.

Whether you are looking for lunch, dinner, a late night snack, or just meeting friends after work, we've got something for everyone at the Boat House!
This is a good place for lunch when passing through the area. It is apparently a popular place and was very crowded. That considered, service was prompt. The menu has a nice variety and prices were appropriate. Portions were more than ample.

Cheesesteaks are fantastic. By far the best cheesesteak I have ever had. I ordered the flying cow which is chicken and steak mixed. Bartender Colleen made the sandwich and it was awesome. Great prices, good service and nice local bar atmosphere. Grab a sandwich when you are hanging out at the lake.

Great blue collar bar and restaurant located in the middle of Hamlin. The bar and restaurant offers drink and food specials on a daily basis making it very affordable to have a nice evening out or enjoy a nice lunch. Live entertainment on the weekends. Se
Friends took us to this BBQ place that is only open during the summer months. I had ribs and chicken with baked beans and corn on the cob, all very good and plentifully. There is some inside seating but the bulk of the restaurant was outside, nice people and great food.
