A small hometown bar with a great atmosphere, exceptional food, and wonderful people. An excellent place to stop in to grab a cold beer and hot, fresh, homemade food.

Stopped in here for lunch while at a baseball tournament at nearby Lake Myrtle Fields. We saw the advertising at the games, so it was an easy choice while hunting for a place to eat. Our server was good and the food was average. My wife had a salad and I had the Watterson. I feel like there should be more to write on this, but that just lends itself to why it is only average.

I have always been curious about this restaurant since I move to Winter Haven 5 years ago. I had tickets to the Ritz theater, so I decided to go. I studied the menu online so I knew what I wanted when I got there. I had no reservation, but they accommodated me. I ordered the wings and the hand cut fries. They were great. The place is spacious and there was pleasant music playing in the background. I will be here again. You should too.

Polk County's Premier Waterfront Restaurant.
Had dinner after hearing about its great location on a lake. To be fair we're from Pennsylvania where lakes tend to be larger and a bit more scenic. However, based on our year here in Florida its still a nice lake location. The view is nice - not spectacular but nice. Our meals were good and our service was good. Its not what we'd consider fine dining but it was a good meal. Portions were good. We'd go back.

Rumor is that they have the best steaks in town. I donât eat steak. They have excellent shrimp appetizers and great fish dinners. The atmosphere is like a party, I took local friends there and they said Mannys is now their favorite restaurant. The fried mushrooms appetizer is huge, happy hour is well- very happy.Love the one downtown winter haven and the one on I-27 in Haines city.

Very recently under new ownership, this restaurant offers a surprising range of food, all excellent prepared. Most things on the menu can be made vegan, which accomodates my wife. My cod was excellently prepared. It was very fresh with no "acidy" taste so common to cod that has been frozen or that is not perfectly fresh. We will definitely be back!

Weâve attempted to visit a few times now but the wait is always too long, this time I called ahead and was given 6pm slot, unfortunately when we arrived there was still no available tables â¹ï¸ such a shame, weâve really been looking forward to trying. We donât take reservations but our âCall ahead seatingâ cuts you wait time in half. Iâm sorry you havenât had a chance to dine with us.
We've tried this pub before and the food was terrible. We returned for a beer and found out there were new owners. The burger platter looked great. Unfortunately, we had already eaten, thinking the food was still terrible. Menu is simple but good for a bar/pub. They definitely have some work to do, need background music playing, fans in the bar area, more nighttime entertainment. They have a karaoke night. I think this could be a great "local" bar if given the opportunity.

This building is one many would easily pass by, don't do that. My brother and sister-in-law wanted seafood since they don't get a lot of it where they live and the internet coughed up Gary's. Robin was our waitress and she was friendly and attentive. For appetizers we went for oysters, fried for me and on the half-shell for the rest of the party. My oysters were nicely done and plump. The raw oysters were quite to the satisfaction of those that ate them. As they are raw oyster aficionados that is a compliment. Three of us ordered the broiled scallops. They were exactly as they should have been, not chewy like I have had them in other restaurants. My brother had the blackened grouper which he enjoyed. He was asked what level of spiciness he wanted. Large baked potatoes and a salad were the accompaniments. Also included were hush puppies, also properly prepared, not hard and crunchy as I've had to endure elsewhere. The seafood menu was extensive and other items are also available. There is a full bar. The entrance is handicap accessible and there is adequate parking. I enjoyed this restaurant so much I would happily have gone back but our limited time in the area did not allow it.
