Chill vibe with fun music. We had the owner pick 4 dishes for us. It was perfect. He was playing American 70âs music and was very friendly and helpful. So glad we found this gem!

There is a difference between a regular bar and a cocktail bar. This place figured it out. As a New Yorker we have high expectations everywhere we go, and this place meets everything you could want when on vacation. The drinks are all made to perfection, simple fresh ingredients all from the island. They set themselves apart with the attention they give to their tables. The service, the snacks they put out on the table ( without asking) and my favorite of all after a few drinks of you do get hungry they make fantastic sandwiches. The atmosphere is chill, with great music in the background. The place is located on the water so you are staring at yachts and boats and some of the beautiful greenery of the island. The cherry on top is its a family owned business. The dad is the bartender master and the two brothers Gianni and Daniele manage and take care of the hospitality side. You can tell that these guys have traveled to many bars around the world to bring everything they felt necessary to their own cocktail bar. I highly recommend coming here for before dinner drinks or after dinner drinks or both. Itâs a must go to on the island.

We stopped for a late lunch - really good pizza, huge plates. Also ordered a side of fries, something we had been missing and a large portion came which we all picked at.I didn't fancy pizza but was intrigued by one of the customers at a nearby table eating a salad. I ordered Insalata with Mozzarella and Tuna and was brought a huge salad in a bowl similar to the one I use at home for mixing cakes!The staff were friendly, gracious about our attempts at Italian and happy to converse in English. Toilet facilities were clean but basic, as seems to often be the case on Ischia, I took to carrying around a roll of paper, wipes etc.Of course, the best bit about La Strambata is the location, on the side of the square in Forio, with the world and his wife walking past, a perfect excuse to sit and people watch and soak up the atmosphere.We had three large pizzas, one huge salad, a serving of fries, a beer and three mineral waters and the bill came to 39.50 Euros. Great value.

Friendly Service -Blahh food. Visited with minimum expectations. Classic 1920s cafe but the food from the canneloni to lasagne to croquettes was microwaved up. Tasted the chef boyardee. Pizza had a nice crust but no taste. Grilled vegetables were blah at best. Service was excellent.

This is a nice place to people watch and look over the harbour. We had drinks here but not any food. Prices were a little expensive compared to other places further out of town but you are paying for the position.

Usually, we don't like places that have everything - pizza, seafood, pasta,... But La Meridiana was different. Recommended by locals who know what good food is, it was a perfect choice. A nice walk from Forio center, the restaurant is on the beach which means fabulous seaview.We had some pizza and a grilled fish and both was more than perfect. A pizza that pizzaioli in Naples would be ashamed of and a perfectly grilled sea bream. With a kind family atmosphere in the place (the whole family participating in cooking/serving process) and excellent food, this is on our dining list for the next visit of Ischia.

Went there because of Tripadvisor and because I am picky, but it exceeded my expectations. Really great food, salad was so huge and delicious!! Owner was super nice and all the waitresses. Can highly recommend this place and a huge plus was that the chicken salad was only 10 euros.
