***WE ARE CLOSED FOR THE SEASON*** Huckâs is the place to relax on the river with new owners and a classic menu to fit the venue. Whether itâs lunch on the patio or a romantic dinner in our dining room, youâll enjoy the great food, incredible views and re
After being back, for two weeks, from our winter hiatus in the Florida Keys, I started wishing there was a good place nearby to get a good fish sandwich. I had heard about Huck Finn's On the Water, in fact I'd been there years ago for a Mother's Day Brunch. But still, I had never been there for fish.Today we stopped in for lunch and FINALLY my wish came true!We had the Walleye Po Boy and the Blue Gill sandwich. As Lin and I often do, we split the sandwiches so we could each have some. Totally Awesome!I'd also mention the soup of the day was "Corn Poblano Chowder". I've never had it before and all it took was one spoonful and it quickly rose to the top of my all-time favorite soups. Over the top in great flavor, just as fast as the heat started to rise it fell off and is very doable, even for people who think of ketchup as hot sauce. This soup is really, really good! The fish was fresh, not fishy, and the house tartar sauce was a nice compliment to the entire sandwich. I think we may have found our new fishing hole on the Mississippi. To find Huck Finn's on the Water you might want to use your GPS. I happen to know the area and while Huck's is a sharp left at the end of Clinton Street, it is behind a pretty big marina. Well worth the time to find it. The waitress was also friendly, fast and took very good care of us. Good service, great atmosphere, amazing fish and soup and very reasonably priced.Good Job Huck Finn's on the Water, well be back! Thanks for taking the time out of your schedule to leave us this review, RTAR8! We will definitely be passing your compliments on to our staff. We are so glad you dined with us, and it will be our pleasure to serve you again soon so you can try more items on our menu and let us know your thoughts.

A local favorite since 1955. Schmidty's is much more than an old-fashioned supper club. Schmidty's is a home for family gatherings. A bar and grill. A lunch spot. A local landmark. Schmidty's is a place where memories are made to order, each and every day
Lucky for us we have a cousin who lives in LaCrosse and she brought us here. What a wonderful dinner. The prime rib was thick cut and cooked to a perfect medium rare. Paired with nice horseradish it was perfect. But the meal also came with perfect pan fried cod and or shrimp. Add a baked potato plus a nice soup and salad bar and there was just too much food. The batter fried fish looked excellent as well. I cannot wait to come back to try some other items. Fast and fun server, great food and reasonable prices makes this a winner.

The pub had few people in it when I arrived for an early lunch (at 11:30 am). I ate the pulled pork sandwich with melted cheese (and bacon added). It tasted great and had the right size - not too big, but enough to satisfy my hunger). The one server active was helpful.

We have eaten there many times over the years but I donât think I have ever reviewed. The staff is very good. They are usually crazy busy but still manage to be on top of things every time we have eaten there! Most times have been for breakfast and have never had anything that wasnât great. Also, one of the best Bloody Maryâs ever!!! This is a must when we visit La Crosse!!!

Welcome to The Breakfast Club & Pub an all-day breakfast, bar and grill located in downtown La Crosse. We offer a great selection of breakfast items, burgers, sandwiches, salads, a kid's menu, appetizers and more. Full bar with 16 beers on tap! A bright,
The vibe is really fun with an old diner feel and 80s music and videos. I loved the lunch boxes at the table that held all your condiments...nice touch. Service was quick and friendly...welcomed as I walked in the door. The menu has clearly lots of breakfast options but I think on the back I noticed less breakfasty food. I had a cheese omelet which was covered in a cheese sauce. It was fantastic! Coffee was good and hot as well. I enjoyed my meal as well as the fun atmosphere. They have a full bar with some fun specialty choices. Bathrooms were clean as a bonus. Loved this place. Check it out for a flashback to some 80s favs and some great breakfast food!

Voted 2015 & 2016's Best New Restaurant in La Crosse, The Crow is La Crosse's only bar & restaurant dedicated to providing craft beer, unique bourbon, and great American food.
Visited the Crow for a light dinner over Labor Day weekend. The service was very good but the food was average. We had a single-patty grilled cheese burger and a single-patty mac-cheese burger. Both were prepared well and were a nice sized serving. The patties seemed like premade/frozen and very lightly seasoned. The mac and cheese on the burger was the highlight - it was very cheesy and the pasta was cooked well. The prices were very reasonable so I would eat here again but would not go out of my way to come here.Thank you for the review, Jjlash. We appreciate your detailed feedback, as it allows us to constantly grow and improve. We are pleased you enjoyed excellent service. Your comments regarding your burger choices have been shared with our concerned kitchen team. We hope you allow us the chance to "wow" you on a future visit.

Traditional Irish pub & eatery located on 3rd and Main in downtown La Crosse, WI. Great place to watch sports, watch live music, hang out with friends, eat delicious food, and participate in good conversation. We're all a wee bit Irish at Dublin Square. S
My husband and I stopped last night after Moon Tunes and we expected it to be busy. However, we were seated outside right away which was encouraging. It took a while for someone to bring us a menu and take a drink order which again was disappointing, but somewhat expected. It took at least 15 minutes for us to get our drinks. When the waitress finally brought our drinks she blamed the wait on the bar (the bartenders did not appear busy). I asked her if kitchen service was going to be just as slow and she said "yes, at least an hour for food". We had about a 40 minute drive home and I would have liked to have know that before we wasted 30 minutes getting a beer. It would have been nice to know of the excessive wait when we placed our drink order as we most likely would have just chosen to go home. I don't think if I'd asked she would have volunteered that info. Shame on me for not asking before we ordered but I think the wait staff should be aware that not everyone lives in LaCrosse and not everyone has nothing but time on a Thursday night. It's great that they were busy and lesson learned on my end.Debra, thank you for sharing your time with us. We never want our guests to feel rushed or that they've waited too long. It's my hope that this was a one time issue and that you'd consider coming to see us again. If so, please email us at [email protected] so that we can offer to make this experience up to you. Thanks again for bringing this to our attention. Let's talk soon.
