We found this a really chilled out bar next to the Lazy Day resort, there was always mellow music playing, the guys who worked there were good fun and chilled out, the service could be a bit slow but are you really in a hurry!! They have a small but good selection of cocktails which I enjoyed and in the evenings they have a barbeque with fresh sea food which we really enjoyed. But if nothing else its a really great little spot to chill out at sun set with a drink and some mellow music right by the beach.

Don't be put off by the pictures on here as it looks nothing like them We have been on koh mak island for 5 days and been in here 4 times already. The air con is a refreshing welcome, but you are then greeted every time by big smiles and a bowl of the yummiest popcorn I have ever tasted "on the house" which gets refilled as soon as its empty! The coffee is delicious but the best thing is the passions fruit mojito, I have drunk many monitors in my time not none come close to this Don't miss this little gem whilst you are on the island.
The Monkey Bar is the beach bar for chilling, this place located by the Monkey island resort. Under the big trees shadow, the monkey bar serves several of great cocktails and local crafted beers in the relaxing REGGAE music atmosphere.
Nice bar located on a small and cozy island. The bar has a great location close to the beach. Nice atmosphere and they have live music aswell.Unfortunately they no longer have the most awesome bartender in the world but the new guy is pretty ok Totally worth a visit.Dear Linus G,Greeting from the old place, we are literally happy to see your review on tripadvisor and hope to see you back here again. Our new bartender may not the most awesome in the world but for sure he will makes you indulged with his fascinating bartending skills. Anyway, sincerely thank you for such a good and positive review.Monky bar,[email protected]

Art House is a cosy, soulful little bar on the island of koh Mak. Relaxed atmosphere. Creative cocktails of high quality and welknown classics. Coffee, fresh tea from Thai herbs and flowers in big pots, fruitshakes with seasonal fruit. Weekly specials. Th
Pretty typical watering hole for a place like Ko Mak. Standard drink menu, standard eats - at above average prices. What makes Art House stand out, however, are the wonderfully aggressive dogs on premises. Walk in and get ready for growling, teeth bearing, and unadulterated pugnacity (no pun intended). Bottom Line: Beware of Dogs!Hi! We are so sorry to read about your experience on Koh Mak. However, we do have to tell you that unfortunately you wrote a review for the wrong place.. it's quite confusing as some places have similar names. We don't serve food at our bar, we only have drinks and paintings for sale. And we are certainly not the most expensive place to go. As for standard drinks... First thing we always like to show our guests is our menu with specials. We have a list of "art House" cocktails that we are proud of and like to promote. If you would have visited us, we would have been very happy to recommend you a nice drink. Like everywhere else on the island there are certainly some dogs walking around in our street and some of them can bark. We are back open for the new season so if you would be around again you are mostly welcome in our place.
