Come here of a morning pretty regularly, so why the inconsistency? I order toast and sausages! One day 2 sausages and two pieces of toast, hard to get wrong really! Today, two toast one sausage, bread wasn't toasted, took it back, asked where's the other sausage? That's how it comes she replied, took it away flung the toast on a griddle, brought it back, it was so floppy my one sausage found it hard to stay in it! Trivial complaint? not really, I expect what it says on the menu, how hard can it be?

I recently visited here with my friends and boyfriend for dinner one evening. We all had a main and shared a few desserts. The service was great, just a perfect amount of time to wait for your meal once ordering and the food was delicious. The portion sizes were massive and there was so much to choose from on the menu. All in all it came to a reasonable price too. Will definitely be back.

â¢The restaurant is bright, airy and stylish with a nice atmosphere.â¢Lots to choose from on the menu, prices are really reasonable, kids menu prices are brilliant. â¢Food is lovely & the portions are great. Tried quite a few things on the dinner menu & enjoyed every one of them. Favourites are Katsu Curry, Cajun crepes & the salt & chilli chips. â¢Breakfast menu is simple, enough to choose from & really cheap. They have a âcreate your ownâ breakfast for around a fiver. â¢Drinks are a bit more expensive than other places in town but not overpriced for the market. Lots of cocktails & mocktails to choose from, the passion fruit daiquiris are a must! â¢Staff are brilliant, the customer service you get really makes the difference. This especially matters to me when they take the time to engage with my children but also, on adult only visits Iâve been on Iâve had the same great service & attentiveness. â¢All in this is one of my go to places in town for any occasion; breakfast, dinner or just a few cocktails.

OK pub. Very small. Locals very loud . staff bit miserable. Close to train station and bus station. Pool table and puggys. Toilets could do with updating.Hi Sean,Just wondering if you perhaps got the wrong venue...we don't have a pool table, only one puggy, the toilets were refurbished throughout in November 2016 and its actually quite a big pub - and our staff and regulars are frequently praised for their friendliness! We're a Victorian pub with a massive horseshoe bar in the middle, was this definitely where you were?

Stopped off for lunch on our way back from Troon. Sat outside as it was a lovely day. Lunch was yummy. Usually go for steak pie but it was so hot outside so opted for sandwich and soup. Staff friendly and attentive. Would recommend.

A small independent business ran by two friends offering a fantastic range of drinks, cocktails and wines. Offering a menu that caters for all that is always freshly made on the premises by our head chef and his kitchen team.
We stopped here for dinner one evening when driving south from Glasgow towards Turnberry for a golf holiday. The staff here are very friendly and we enjoyed high quality gourmet Scottish pub food here. Fresh ingredients and generous potion sizes made this meal highly satisfying. The steak pie was a meat loverâs delight, and the lemon meringue dessert was simply divine. Would definitely return - itâs a great place for a casual meal, and also seems amenable to larger groups as well. The adjacent table was celebrating an 18th birthday and the birthday boy was hilariously trolled with a princess-themed birthday cake. Good to see that people have a sense of humour there!

We believe bringing good things together makes them even better, from fish and chips or brownies and ice cream to a cheeky gin and tonic. Along with freshly prepared dishes and delicious drinks, we offer a friendly service and great value. Cookhouse + Pub
I went to this restaurant on a fairly busy Saturday evening recently. I was very disappointed with the slow service, we waited almost 40 minutes between the starter and the main meal and 25 minutes between the main meal and the pudding. I feel this was excessively slow as it is pub grub and a lot of it will only need heated up and plated up. Other similar pubs in the area do not keep you waiting as long on a Saturday early evening. We didn't walk out because we were hungry and we kept thinking the main course would arrive at any minute. It's not quite as bad to wait for pudding as you're not hungry then. The staff were very pleasant when they did arrive and we were seated by a very pleasant member of staff. I would say the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. The food was very mediocre and I cannot recommend anything that I or my fellow diners had. Having said all that, I will try it once more as I was there last December and the food and the service were much better.Hi Marie,Thank you for your review. We're very sorry that you had a disappointing experience with us recently. We pride ourselves on the great service and quality of food we provide and so it is sad to hear you were let down by the extremely slow service which caused a big delay receiving your meals. This certainly doesn't sound like the experience we would expect. Our team members do work hard to ensure every visit is perfect so we'd like to apologise our standards fell short on this occasion. Please be assured we have passed your feedback on to the General Manager of the restaurant to ensure this is addressed with the Chef so that this experience is not repeated going forward. In future, please do not hesitate to speak with the Duty Manager about any issues as theyâd be happy to help whilst you are in-house.Once again, we apologise for the disappointment caused and hope that you will give us another chance in the future for a more enjoyable experience. Kind regards,Rebecca, Cookhouse & Pub

A warm and friendly welcome awaits you at the Cochrane Inn. Located in the village of Gatehead, on the outskirts of Kilmarnock, this traditional country inn and family restaurant, has a distinctly contemporary, yet cosy ambience. Our menu has modern twist
This was a special meal for my parent's wedding anniversary. The food was great, we didn't have to wait long and the ladies serving were really friendly. Even the kids meals were great quality. All 4 adults are from the set menu which had lots of choice and we were not disappointed! Would highly recommend and can't wait to go back!

Known for years as The Canny Man this popular pub and restaurant has been relaunched as The Padaro Bar & Restaurant. Situated in Lugton, near Kilmarnock in Ayrshire, it is fast becoming a local favourite thanks to the welcoming atmosphere and friendly sta
We visit here regularly and welcome the changes which ongoing at the moment. Visited tonight at 5.30 and were given the main menu and a specials typed sheet. We both fancied the roast beef but when we were ordering were told there was no roast beef. Why not tell you when the menu is given instead of waiting till you decide? We WERE told when given the dessert menu that 2 out of 4 âspecialsâ were not available. Quite early to have run out of 3 of the specials. Also we have been 3 times during the school holidays with our granddaughters and twice out of the 3 my wee granddaughter has been given apple juice which is âoffâ. I was given the explanation the second time that they decant the juice into plastic bottles and it goes off quite quickly but if they are aware of this why are the staff not alerted to checking. If we have been given âoffâ juice on two visits how many other people have. It was replaced on both occasions by the same lady who picked up on it before we even had a chance to complain which is rather strange, as if she was expecting it. Only later did I think it would have been a nice gesture if it had been taken off the bill but it wasnât.This IS a favourite place with us but there are just a few wee tweaks needed in customer service. I would also like to add that the staff are lovely.
