The three of us arranged to meet her and, because the evening was shaping up to be pleasant outdoors, were able to grab a table outdoors, away from the roar inside. It made for delightful, easy conversation punctuated by occasional people-watching as the line for getting into the Fillmore around the corner snaked a full two blocks around. We split a fish taco (the best!) e Sriracha fries and a white bean hummus. All were tasty, and the portions were manageable. Our waiter was new but eager. A fine evening.

We serve mussels & frites, wood-fired tarts (Belgian pizzas) with seasonal toppings, grilled meats and fish, salads, soups, sandwiches. As your server about our daily specials, we mix it up! We also have the largest selection of craft and Belgian beers in
While in Bethesda for business, I went to dinner by myself. I liked the options on the menu and chose the Mussel Bar and Grill. The hostess was very friendly and when I was seated the manager came and took my order. The server - Mason - was very attentive and responsive. The service was excellent. I had a half-order of mussels with bacon and an excellent broth. It was served with fries and bread. They were excellent - flavorful, well prepared and more than. enough for a full meal. I will return when I get back to Bethesda.

Being a Platinum Elite Marriott loyalty member I've stayed at many Marriott properties US and overseas but NEVER have I encountered a hotel infested with gnats/small bugs in the dining areas! It is so disheartening to go to the restaurant and bar area and see customer's sitting with napkins over their drinks and swatting gnats away! These bugs are also in the lovely "M" club area. I've eaten breakfast at the M club every morning for a week and despite being away from the restaurant area those nasty bugs still make their way in the M club. Also, other than breakfast the food in the restaurant is not up to the Marriott quality. From the flatbreads to simple dishes such as chicken tenders the food is pretty disgusting. The next time I am in the Washington DC area I will stay at a different hotel.

Traditional Irish pub
Even before ordering the food, I chose a beer. My eye was drawn to 7 Locks-Surrender Dorothy IPA. The quite-a-bit-younger person in charge of the table explained that back in the 70s, someone had painted âSurrender Dorothyâ on an overpass on the Beltway near Silver Spring that crossed a view of the Mormon Temple in Kensington, MD. Wow! I remembered that so well that I had to try it. It did not disappoint. It was crisp and forthright. A very good pairing with the pub food. As for the food, we all shared two fabulous appetizers: the crispy buttermilk calamari and the Limerick mussels. The latter upped the taste with bits of bacon in the sauce. For the main course, the beef stew was hearty, but not overwhelming, served in this case with freshly mashed potatoes. The standard fish and chips dish was good: the fish better than the somewhat limp chips. The dipping sauces were just okay. The staff was very good, and the atmosphere as expected.

The layout for the brunch is simple--salad and cold seafood, some hot food, and then dessert. It doesn't sound like much but man, everything was fresh and tasty. The salad dressing was appropriate. The clams and mussels and prawns were fresh and springy. The beef steak was juicy and the sauce that accompanied it just full of umami. (My saliva glands are working as I type.)And I should mention that the drinks--I recommend the bellini with ginger--went very well.Go for it.

There's nothing timid about our chicken... or our meatloaf... or our hand cut hickory grilled sizzling steaks, line caught Ahi tuna or cornbread baked in a skillet and fired up by fresh jalapeno and Serrano peppers. This is full flavored American cuisine,
This place is way over rated. There are so many other options near here that have outstanding food for a more reasonable price.Great place to go if you are trying to make a good impression with a high end feel /white linen, but keep food expectations lowThank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are always looking to improve and are sorry to see that we missed the mark with you this time. We hope you'll give us another chance soon. In either case, we appreciate the feedback.

We visited Bethesda and found Gringos & Mariachis to be very authentic Mexican food. The Staff was also quite friendly & quick. We will return again. Besides the food, they have quite a list of creative & unique drinks. We asked for some adjustments to some drinks, like replacing tequila for mezcal, and they gladly accommodated our requests. Net, very worthy experience.

Choosing to visit for lunch an old favorite, my party of three friends ate here one week day recently. The atmosphere and attentive wait staff were the only good things I can say about our meal. First of all, I will warn that when I began this review, I observed that the in-house menu is quite different than what's posted. Second, when ordering an iced tea- unsweetened, I was served an 'arnold palmer', which I did not like and promptly returned. The entrees (soup and sandwiches) were adequate, but not tasty. The only food I enjoyed was a kale/cabbage slaw accompanying a sandwich. The chicken tortilla soup was way overpriced (9.) and nothing like the brothy other versions I have enjoyed elsewhere. For a side order of fries, we were charged $14- YES, you read that correctly !! All in all, this was not the wonderful experience we used to remember in the distant past and, needless to say, I probably won't be back.

Our modern Kensington American restaurant draws inspiration from world travels, offering riffs on comfort favorites like steak frites and fish tacos, along with brunch, homemade desserts, cocktails and whiskeys by the "dram." We also cater in our âAbsinth
Stopped in here with a friend. It's a small restaurant tucked in a tiny strip mall. The food was ok, nothing special but no problems, and the service was fairly quick. When I was leaving the area, I realized that Dish & Dram appears to be the only restaurant in this part of Kensington. That must explain the rave reviews, when you're the only show in town, it's easy to be rated the best.
