I ordered BBQ chicken plate, almost everything including the chicken and mac and cheese was cold. They corrected it but made us wait even longer than expected. Drink are great and that's what you should expect, hit or miss on the food.

I met family members from out of town to sightsee and visit together in Kalamazoo. Our plan, to enjoy lunch in downtown area on Saturday was frustrating. There were few restaurants open for lunch. Luckily, we found the Union open for lunch. However, the food was only average, probably because the kitchen was not fully "tooled up". There were very few diners. The sauerkraut soup of the day was hearty and delicious. Southern chicken salad was just o.k.. Unfortunately, the rib tips tasted as if they had been cooked a couple of days ago and were dried out, reheated, but not hot. Of course we did not expect live music at midday. Good beer and good selection. Prices were acceptable. We had a better experience in the evening, on a past visit. Best thing about this venue is the music.

We went to the University Roadhouse to celebrate our daughterâs 21st birthday. We were seated immediately and our server (Brianna) was so friendly and efficient! We enjoyed shared appetizers of fried pickles and Crab Rangoon. Everyone in our party complimented their food. I ordered the lake perch dinner and found it to be among the best I have ever had. My only criticism is that it became quite loud as the dining room filled up, but that is such a small price to pay for an extremely positive dining experience.

We went for happy hour and got $5 flatbread pizzas that were delicious! My husband also had some chili which he said was really good, and I totally enjoyed my side salad. Nice outdoor area. Good variety of beers. Would definitely go back there again.

One Well Brewing produces hand-crafted beers and provides a place for like-minded folks to share ideas, art and culture in Kalamazoo, MI.
Excellent concept (order yourself at the bar), quick responsive food service delivery (to your table, by number) and plenty of cold, craft beer made this a most enjoyable (if not surprisingly fun) evening. The food is very good (diverse menu) and the people watching and games surrounding made for a festive night.

I very much enjoyed my visit to Bells Cafe, they had a number of vegan options to chose from. I got the falafel on pita and "Larry's last flamingo fruit fight" beer both of which were lovely. My mom who is a meat eater got a burger and loved it. Also often forgotten french fries were super tasty as well. The menu of vegan options alone would be enough to bring us back but the atmosphere is fun too. Would definitely recommend checking out.Thank you so much for providing us with this feedback, Anna! We're so happy to hear you enjoyed your recent visit. We have a "Vegan Night" coming up on September 26th if you are interested in that - we would love to see you! Cheers!
