Food is reasonably good. The service is nonexistent. The greeters do not care and are unfriendly. The border on being rude. There is no service in their service job. They represent a new low in customer service. Hi ArtieQL - Our guests should feel welcome and relaxed, but it's clear we missed the mark during your visit with us. We hope you accept our apologies. Would you mind reaching out to me at [email protected] so I can make this right?Best,Shari R.

We drove past here on the way to Little Talbot Island and had to turn around to come back. The place looks exactly what you would expect from the outside, not high on sophistication but with tasty food (for instance there seems to be someone with the sole job of making the sauces.) We had some chowder and some gator tail and were impressed by the taste. Worth noting though that southern chowder is different from the northern variety, so for someone expecting the creamier version, they might be disappointed. Really though this place is a small gem and we were happy to find it. So much of Jacksonville reminded us of driving around the parishes in Louisiana and this place encapsulates that.

Not sure why the raving reviews... the food was above average and there is a nice selection of items on the menu, but the place is filthy. Everything in there from the ceiling to the floor either needs a bleach wipe down or complete replacement. The floor was so disgusting that we were sliding, in sneakers! The bathroom was gross and the door looked like someone punched it. Place smells like a dirty sponge. This was our first timeWe walked in and someone hollered sit wherever you likeThe table big enough was dirtyWaited minutes for someone to come clean it so we could sit No greeting or welcome just cleaned and walked awayWe clearly had kids with us and we had to ask if they had a kids menuWe had to flag a guy down to say we would like to order an appetizer The sprite in the fountain clearly was out of syrup and we advised and asked for more. Guy said he wasnât sure what he had in the back and asked for us to pick something else!No help with menu or asked if we had been before, my name is...Brought check out and didnât inquire if we wanted dessert or anything elseWe asked for desserts to go and asked for a recommendation and she seemed bothered Than we had to wait so long to check out that I walked up to the counter to pay Overall experience was really fair-poor, but food was excellent. Would only go for take out but considering where itâs located I think we would pass.

Visiting my son in Gainesville and going home from JAX so looked for a place for early dinner. Walked in to find the tasting bar hopping. We did our tasting at the table picking wine to go with our meals. Service was friendly and helpful and no problem with trying several wines before picking one. The menu actually encourages you to try new types. The food was well presented and delicious. We had the short ribs, salmon and the scallops and everyone was happy. Will definitely go back when in Jacksonville or may try Orlando.

This restaurant is located in the quaint Riverside Avondale section of Jacksonville and is one of our favorites. The warm turkey sandwich with grilled onions on ciabatta is outstanding. For our side we get the huge, fully loaded baked potato which is a nice change from fries or chips you get elsewhere (and can still get here). Only thing keeping it from being a 5 was the baked potatoes were not very hot but our waiter quickly corrected this. Service from Crew was friendly and very efficient.

Spoiler: we are foodies and this was sooooo good. Had lunch at Black Sheep because my wife and daughter had had brunch prior to a Springfield Home tour previously. Wow! The Ban mi exploded with a Viet Namese meets southern cuisine flavor, some heat and cilantro green with pork belly . Mushroom toast had a richness to die for. Reasonably priced. Approachable wine list and beer offerings. One of the top 10 meals for flavor we have ever eaten!!!! Modest office lobby ambiance and do-it-yourself serving style should not lull you into thinking this was not worth it.

Great menu, reasonable prices. Nice bar, able to see them preparing the food while sitting at parts of the bar.

New place has been open a month but awesome!
I was prepared for excellent food because of the reviews. I found the service to be lacking and I was seated under a cold blowing vent. I had trouble getting drink refills and service when the restaurant was not crowded . I will not return.Good Evening,My name is Carlos and I am the General Manager at Lola's. I am sorry that your experience was not up to standard on any level. Please know that we strive to ensure our guests have the best experience every time they visit us.If and when you can I would like to meet with you and discuss further on how we can make the experience a better one for you. Sincerely,Carlos
