TRATA is Rochesterâs most unique restaurant space. The modern industrial design spans three floors, and boasts multiple dining areas and bars, including an expansive 2nd story outdoor terrace. TRATAâs casual, yet inventive American menu offers something f
Food medium not special. Bar is real fun though and it is sort of hip spot for a stand alone restaurant. The bartenders here are not your ordinary run-of-the-mill bartenders. They are true mixologist. The oyster monger as well is an excellent shucker. Drinks great and oysters cold and clean. The food is also amazing as well as the atmosphere.

I like the increase in vegetarian options even though I'm a big meat eater. It's a rich menu, though, and I'm always super stuffed after eating at Nosh. I didn't give it a 5-star review because the food may be too rich, and the restaurant is too loud. Loud is OK, but this place totally rocks.

Applebeeâs is a great place to come with family and friends, but they need to clean their menus as well as the machine that you use on the table to pay. Itâs disgusting. I wouldnât even pay using the machine. I gave my money to the waitress. Some days they have regular clothes on and the next time they have on uniforms. They mix up table receipts and the waitresses seem not to attentive. Itâs not under new management, itâs just a lot of new employees that seem to need a little bit more training on being prompt and making sure the customer have refills, napkins and the correct check.

We hadn't been here in years but won a gift certificate so decided to give it a go.I had a Reuben sandwich that was huge. Took half home and it was excellent. My husband had a roast beef sandwich, asked for meat /hot sauce on the side because the meat was little bland. We were charged extra for the cup of meat sauce. It was a Wednesday night and there was a band setting up but we didn't stay. The place was filling up quickly as we left, but service stayed attentive. The interior is a little tattered - maybe with I-Square coming this will change, but than it might lose some of its charm.

After we finally got seated the waitress took forever and a day to take our order and she was not friendly at all. We waited a very long time for our food and in the meantime the waitress didn't stop by our table once to see if we needed anything or if we wanted refills on or beverages. Once the food finally came out we informed her she gave my boyfriend the completely wrong meal and reiterated what he did order. She looked at him as if he was lying, took the food and said it will be ready in a few. After another long wait she brings him yet again another completely wrong meal! We asked her what the problem was and she gave us a dirty look, took the plate and ran off. A few minutes later a manager came over and asked what happened. We explained and she didn't even take anything off the bill for what we did get and gave us a lousy $10 gift card. REALLY?!! Talk about adding insult to injury..like we would ever step foot in that overpriced place again. Not to mention the tables were pushed so close together you felt like you were dining with the strangers next to you.

Gate House is known for its speciality burgers and did not disappoint during our visit. It also has a pretty nice salad selection too. The service was fairly efficient and there was a quick turnaround on receiving entrees

Cool spot overlooking the river in Rochester! It was packed with people. Food was ok, but certainly not gourmet. We all had a solid meal. Beer is all Genessee (well, itâs Rochester). âNuff said! Would absolutely come here again. Be prepared to wait , itâs busy on the weekends.

I had heard rave reviews of this spot, so when I got the chance for a free Tuesday dinner, I quickly walked downtown to this spot. First off, service was fantastic, and they quickly set me up with a few samples of local/fall beers. The Genesee Lemon Strawberry Cream Ale was fantastic, and I stuck with that. The staff was quick to make recommendations for food, and I settled on the two meat platter with pulled pork and brisket, with mac n cheese and baked beans. The platter came with a hunk of tasty cornbread, also delicious, and the sides were pretty solid. Didn't fall in love with the beans, but solidly good - the mac n cheese was excellent. The BBQ was clearly where it was at. The pulled pork was packed with flavor, with a light BBQ drizzle on top, and the brisket was thick-sliced with some jalapeños on top. So so good. Would happily come back often the next time I'm in town.
