Cammie's Bar, excellent bar meals served in our Cammie's Bar, where you can enjoy a great pint and a great meal.
Not a warm and welcoming expereince. Decor run down, Drinks very expensive for a basement bar. Appears to be no attempt to make people feel at home. The Barmaid was the only staff member who had a smile, but she has her work cut out.

Hadn't visited here for several years due to a few poor experiences. We got a flyer through the door saying they had new management and a new menu.Upon entering the "waiting area" we were hit by a strange smell. Not full on tobacco, but almost tobacco based fragrance. Anyway not the most pleasant smell to enter in to. After a short wait someone appeared from the bar and showed us to the table. The dining room decor had not really changed since last time, however, there seemed to be more random non matching tables and chairs filling the room. It was like they bought random chairs and seats from car boots. If there had been a full dining room I would defy how people would get moved. The decor its self is very Scottish with a stag prominent at the top of the room, and a castle collage stuck on top of a rough stone wall. All topped off with random bits and bobs adorning the walls and high level shelves. Even those 2 things didn't really go together. We ordered and an acceptable time passed before it was served. What none of us were expecting was the serving style. Plastic baskets. For chicken and a tin for a burger. For the money being charged I would of expected a nicer presentation. My burger was topped with chilli and sadly it wasn't even that hot. So it was a burger (very dense) and warm chilli on top. I felt that was poor value. Not sure if they are trying to be like another local eatery with american style dining. If they are they are failing. If not then I'm not sure what approach they are going for. With a Scottish theme on the walls and make a things about local suppliers but American style dining and american country music playing in the background I am just at a loss to what their identity is. If this is what they are offering? Until their menu improves and the value is better. I wont recommend it to others.

Bar / Diner Good quality home cooked food, Local real ales, cocktails, Friday & Saturday night club.
Visited for a light lunch and found the service to be excellent. Warm, friendly and efficient. The servings were generous. The macaroni was very cheesy and piping hot. The prawn sandwiches were generously filled and very tasty. The salads and fries were good as well. The place was very busy which is surely a good sign. We will certainly visit again.

Very friendly restaurant, with very young, possibly inexperienced servers absolutely trying their best. The menu had a very good selection of food you would have expected on an 80's menu, but everything was cooked to perfection.I hope none this is taken as criticism as I would return over and over again for the quality of the cooking and friendliness of the staff.

When passing Oldmeldrum, always saw the sign for the Redgarth, but never ventured in. At the weekend went out with friends for dinner there and found it a great place to eat and drink.Everybody enjoyed their meal, no issues in any shape or form. In daylight, great view from our table over to Bennachie hills. Pleasent atmosphere and great service.Noticed a few Dutch cars in the car so International visit there too!Kicking ourselves why we didn't try the Redgarth earlier, will go bay again in an instant!
