BBQ in Garden City? No it ain't so...but yes! Nothing fancy smancy about eatin with your hands in a town where the cars are cleaner than the plates on the table. Oh yes, we are talking about paper trays and parchment lined metal sheet trays. A delightful working bar cranks out wonderful cocktails, tap/bottle beers, wine, homemade ice teas, lots of drinking choices to a town who is always thirsty! There's delicious smoked ribs (baby backs or regular spare ribs) half or full racks. Lots of yummy a la carte meats like brisket, porchetta, pulled pork & smoked chicken all priced per 1/2 pound. I personally love their smoked wings because they are not fried and they have 4 sauces to tease you (dry rub/buffalo/Korean/mango habanero). My picks are their Korean & mango habanero. Supposedly mango habanero is their hottest - NOPE! NO WAY SPICY...sweet yes a little kick perhaps but sweaty spicy nada. Note to yes...bring my own hot sauce to dress up a dry rub chicken wing! Only tried their Phil's Cheesesteak sandwich which is quite delicious and hearty but it's more like a hero/hoagie since the bread it's on is substantial. No more loukoumades on their menu anymore, so sad that it has been axed. Just head to 7th street where there's plenty of dessert options. Happy Eating and I'll see you around the tables inside or outside when my bbq cravings urges me!

We have tried the George Martin Restaurant and found it to be excellent and figured we would give his burger place a try. We all ordered burgers, I had the patty melt with american cheese, carmelized onions and their special house sauce with a baked potato on the side. The "baked" potato was a bonus you don't find this too often in a burger place. The burger was cooked to my specification and the sauce made it really tasty. We also had the boneless chicken nuggets with barbecue and hot sauce and they were excellent. The venue was very clean and they had a very nice bar also. There is a outdoor dining area also. The service was spot on and they had a nice selection of craft beer, domestics and wine as well. We thoroughly enjoyed iy!

I enjoyed my Cobb Salad w/shrimp and my son enjoyed his dishes; Caesar Salad and pasta with meatballs (nothing tremendous, just good). What I really liked about my experience here, however, was the vino. There are several nice options to choose from, red and white, and a variety of 3 oz. pours (red) that you can taste before you buy. Nothing too exotic, mind you, just a solid selection of good wines.

Since 1942, Leo's Midway has catered to the Garden City Community and surrounding areas. We invite you to explore our diverse menu served by our warm and friendly staff.
Leo's is far from high dining. The food is so-so. But the environment is really neat and the food almost becomes secondary. You can meet friends here, enjoy a bite or drink and have a great time. I was recently here for Sunday brunch. The offerings are decent though if you don't drink alcohol early in the day it's not for you. You're far better ordering a la carte in that case which is what we did. I had French toast which was tasty and satisfying. Add coffee to the meal and you have a really good brunch. Service is good and they're always checking to make sure your coffee cup isn't empty. This is a neat local place to meet some friends and hang out.

Revel Restaurant & Bar835 Franklin Ave, Garden City, NY 11530-4526This is just another one of the same âopeningsâ of the few âsimilar beginningâ âopeningsâ expressing our feelings regarding a few of the restaurants in this area. We were in town for a quite a number of days, therefore, we decided to 'try-out' the many area restaurants in and around the entire area.We tried all of them a few times to give them a 'fair-shake';We also decided to eat early dinner at all of them. Now, THIS particular placeâs âlayoutâ or âsetupâ when we walked into, whetherFrom the Huge Parking Lot into, (for lack of a better description), the âBARâ entrance,OR, from the main Franklin Avenue (âFront/ Streetâ) Entrance, is a very different, interesting,Image. IF you enter from the Parking Lot, you walk into this spacious area, with the tablesand guests situated at very logical, reasonably-spaced, comfortably separated intervals.AHH, elbow room. Room enough to have a conversation with anyone seated with you, withoutHaving the ânext-table-overâ listen to your quiet conversation, or you have to listen / hear theirquiet, low speaking, conversations. The âBarâ area seems more upbeat, more suited for gatherings and friends to enjoy a great tasting meal from a nice bunch of choices from the menu. The Owner was present on each of our several visits to ensure quality control. He visited each us, and each table, each of the several times we dined for dinner. WE alternated entering both through the âstreet entranceâ and eating both in the âfrontâ and âbarâ areas; and vice versa: through the parking lot entrance and eating in the bar area and the âfrontâ. Regardless the entrance or the choices of our seating, the attempt to grant us our seating and dining preferences were always very-hard to be granted. With it being very, very, crowded each time we went, it might be advisable to make Reservations. We did on our final visit; and, wisely we were advised the preceding time, to âcome a tad earlyâ to allow the staff to âtarget a finishing table and prep itâ so that we could be seated around about our reservation time preference. Otherwise, with the Staff having no control over those who linger âtoo-longâ, there might be a wait on thatX hour reservation that was made? Again, canât blame the establishment for guests who linger. We almost âlingered too longâ. The food, staff, service, menu, were all so wonderful and delightful, we really did not want to leaveâ¦. No pressure. âambiance; very appropriate. Let me explain. When we say âBARâ area, we do not mean, âdrinkingâ bar crowdâ¦. The âbarâ happens to be in the parking lot section of thisâsplit-in-halfâ typeset up which have two different images. The âBarâ section is more open and vivacious, what we would describe as more-suited for more lively crowd and groups having a bubbly time. The âfontâ/ âStreetâ area, to us, would be a more-intimate, quieter, more-appropriate dinner area for a couple or subdued group. Both sections were great when we went the few times we tried it.Both sections were civilized, appropriate in their decibel levels, and, to repeat, the staff was attentive and friendly each time. The food was very good and tasty with many choices available from a wide menu selection. You cannot go wrong here if you chose this place. Though you might have to walk a piece through the massive parking lot, there is totally adequate parking in a huge parking lot with entrance through or to the âBarâ entrance. This is a quite optimal choice if you are looking for spacious arm-leg room seating in a choice of intimate or bubbly atmosphere with tasty good meals from a nice menu selection being served by an attentive friendly staff. Just remember to arrive a tad early, even with reservations; and, also allow extra time to get from your car to the restaurant if you happen to get a spot quite a distance from the parking-lot entrance as the entire area, including this wonderful gem, is always full âto the brimâ. Whatever you pick from the menu, go and â¦. Enjoy! Enjoy! Enjoy! We sure did the few times; we went and dined with an early dinner for two. Yummy Yummy Yummy, Revel Food in our tummy. MM! MM! Good. All of Revels Food is MM MM Good! Thatâs all folks!

Great place to watch a German Bundesliga Fussball game. We went there during a friendly game between Spain vs. Germany. The Crab cake was delicious! The Bratwurst was also tasty. The bartender was attentive and friendly. Food came out really quick. We will be back for the next fussball game.

We were here on Easter for Sunday Brunch. I was surprised at the sizable menu Sweeney's has for Brunch. Every table starts with a basket of crumb cake. The brunch includes choice of a mimosa, bloody Mary or Screwdriver. Entrees vary from quiche to omelet to meat and eggs dishes. Meal comes with choice of juice and coffee or tea. There is a no substitute policy. I ordered the quiche which was served with a fresh salad of many kinds of greens. Oh, so good! The noise level is decent and you can enjoy a conversation with your friends. Service is excellent. All in all a great day out.

A world of food awaits at Grand Lux Cafe featuring internationally inspired cuisine.Located in the Roosevelt Field Mall next to Loews Theatre and the parking garage.
Loved the French toast much and desserts. My hubby ordered sweet potato fries and my gf ordered waffles , but it was already cold. So immediately spoke to the Manager and immediately he took action and replaced it. Appreciate that he himself served it to us. This is why Iâm only giving it a 4 star. We're sorry to hear that your visit was not off to the best start, Andrea! We will be sure to follow up on this with our team and we're glad you enjoyed the rest of your experience! Thank you for your feedback and we look forward to your next visit!
