Established in 1973, The Owl & I quickly became one of the most popular bar and disco joints in Bergen County. Today, in addition to our beautiful bar room, we now offer a family dining experience along with our lovely banquet hall, fit for whatever celeb
We enjoyed Rivara's....Owl Pub. The food was reasonable good for bar food. The drinks were fairly priced and the service was exceptional. The band that evening was exceptional and we thoroughly enjoyed the night. I would return to Rivara's with friends for food, drink and music.

I know it sounds weird, but we come for the salad. Crunchy chickpeas, kalamata olives, hard boiled eggs and ripe tomatoes top an incredibly dressed crispy salad.Love their roast beef sandwich (add broccoli rabe), roasted wings with caramelized onions (finger-lickin' great!) and cauliflower pizza! It's packed most evenings with a mixed business/family crowd. Might want to call ahead.Saw the "poor" review. Don't understand how we could be talking about the same place. Food is consistently amazing!Order the salad - family size!

It was love at first sight and than at first bite. The restaurant is beautifully decorated (located near the railway station) with drawings of old Glen Rock and local sports celebrities. It's well lighted which is a big plus on what I am concerned, I hate dark places, especially when they are called restaurants. Service was nice, friendly and quick. The menu is diverse, and everybody from a family with kids aged 5,3,1 (which we were) to Friday night dating couples can find what they want. The beer menu also looks very promising. Reasonable prices.

We came in for a quick bite. When we left we could hardly wait to come back. The variety was tremendous. Very good tacos and BBQ pork sandwich better than the south. Even the French fries were superb. We started with a gourmet quality lobster bisque. it is a bar room and the jukebox was noisy. Service was good.

Local restaurant, that is usually very crowded as it was last night.Service has always been above par.We come here for the Calamari, made the way we like it and the very best we have enjoyed anywhere in the U.S..During our latest meal we enjoyed a chicken and sausage dish and the evening salmon special, both were very good.Dining tip,Sunday evenings are not as crowded but the food and service is still top notch.

I don't know how this does not have all 5 stars. Food is great, beer selection is excellent, and servers are on it. General Tso's tacos rock, wings are not typical mass deep fryer style yet perfectly crisped. Go out of you usual loop and get some food and setting that blows away the typical crap in Bergen County.

Met up with an old friend for dinner and drinks. We were seated right away and our server took our drink order a minute later. The food was your typical bar food. We ordered wings, which were pretty good. I had the roast beef melt. It was ok. Next time I will try a burger. Overall it isn't a bad place.

I love eating at Kirker's. This place has good food and excellent service! The thin crust pizza is delicious! I highly recommend this place for German Food, home style cooking and tartufo the ice cream desert! If you get Melissa as your waitress, she is very attentive and the best waitress we have ever had.

I heard some things that wanted to break when they first opened, especially about the service. But they have plenty of servers now and the bartenders couldn't be more attentive. Drinks are very reasonable and there is nothing on the food menu higher than $24. And that was a special. Everything I've had there and I've been there three times has been excellent, and they keep dust out at Cellar temperature not refrigerated. They know what they're doing I only hope it doesn't get too crowded so I have a tough time getting in. LOL

Tucked away in the suburb of Hawthorne is this gem of a restaurant. Entering the parking lot your greeted by valet service making the visit comfortable unless your the type that prefers self-parking. The hostess was charming and seated us immediately. I recommend reservations. A full service bar that has a mixologist expertly making any drink you desire. After a few cocktails we began an assortment of appetizers and then our entree's. The filet was cooked with the exact temperature and delicious Their wine list is not so typical with varietals from Africa and other regions from around the world. An all around great experience.
