Food pretty average here, some of the dishes we had okay, others poor. It is a good pub environment, but I wouldn't eat here again. The chef wondered into the eating area a couple of times (not to talk to the customers I hasten to add) with his trouser hanging so low, he was showing lots of crack, sort of off putting.

Home cooked English pub meals. One of very few where you can have proper sit down and warm & tasty meal. There are lots of comfortable chairs to choose from, too.
We called in on a Sunday afternoon for a drink whilst returning home from the Lake District. My wife fancied a snack and enjoyed a wonderful dish of deep fried mozzarella. My beer from a local brewery was in good condition and much appreciated. Service was efficient and good humoured. Would seek it out again.

Our experience was very good when our party of 4 visited the Farmerâs Arms for an early evening dinner. I always recommend the Giant Yorkshire Puddings with several choices of fillings. The prawn salad is also good. At this time of year thereâs a lovely fire to cosy up to. This pub hasnât changed in the 9 years weâve been visiting - not even the menu - which is what we like so much about it.

A beautiful historic public house and restaurant, recently refurbished and under new management. Our bar offers a wide selection of local and national ales, and a great choice of spirits, wines and gins. Our restaurant offers great food made using locally
While having a lovely day out in the Yorkshire Dales we headed for Askrigg as itâs one of our favourite places & as we were hungry we decided to call here for lunch, what an amazing place it is, from the wonderfully stocked bar, fabulous fire place & many other items of interest with the history of Askrigg shown in many of the pictures including the cast from All Creatures Great & Small, now to the food, delicious steak & ale pie full to the brim with tender meat, fresh veg & yummy mash with plenty of gravy, the burger was also lovely with tasty chips & salad, all in all a great meal & we will return when we are back in the wonderful Dales, will recommend The Kings Arms to my friends too

We visited mid-week and had the giant Yorkshire pudding with Cumberland sausage, the gammon, egg and pineapple and the fish and chips. The food was freshly cooked and very tasty although quite basic pub grub. Very good portions especially the gammon and eggs. Good selection of beers. Seating quite basic. Dogs are welcome.

It's sad when you feel the need to provide poor feedback for a place that you enjoyed so highly on a previous visit. We decided to have lunch at the Green Dragon during our recent break in the area as a result of our last visit in 2015. Unfortunately, none of us enjoyed the experience as highly as last time. One of the big selling points for me was the fantastic locally sourced food. On the visit, I decided to pick the sausage baguette. The sausages were tough to eat whilst the baguette was also tough to eat and the caramelised onions overpowered the taste of the sausages themselves. The toilets were also poorly maintained with my Mum telling me that the floor of the women's toilet being wet and no toilet roll being available whilst the hot water tap of the men's toilet didn't work for me and felt tired and shabby. It's gutting to give feedback like this and I really hope that the Green Dragon can lift its standards - especially with a fantastic attraction like Hardraw Force being literally in their back yard.

Called here with friends for dinner and drinks.I ordered the steak pie, which was delicious with a thin shortcrust pastry top, served with new potatoes and a good mix of fresh veg.Good service and surroundings, my small bottle of wine was served to me in a small tumbler shaped glass, I requested a wine glass and was told I would find these on a dresser at the very back of the restaurant which was a bit odd, but did not detract from the food.

The Crown is Hawes' iconic pub set in the very heart of Hawes. Our menu changes daily according to seasonal ingredients. Food is prepared fresh every day so menus change daily. We prefer not to take table bookings so come along and see whatâs on our Speci
After a day visiting Aysgarth Falls and the Wensleydale cheese factory we had a lovely walk around Hawes Village browsing the shops. Before heading off to Blacksheep Brewery in Masham we called in here for a drink. My friend and I chose a pint of Barista Stout from Theakstons. It was delicious. We would definitely come back for another pint if we are in the area again.

After leasing The White Hart out for a year and a half Patricia and Matthew came back into the pub in November 2017. We take pride in providing customers with a quality dining experience in a relaxed and friendly surrounding. All of the food that we serve
Staying at a campsite a few miles away in the neighboring dale, decided to pop into Hawes for a family evening meal.Lovely central pub. Quite traditional with the whole fireplace and hand-pulled ales theme. However the food is the star of the show. Not saying we went in with low expectations, but we basically picked it randomly so hadn't given the food quality much thought. The food was easily the standard that decent restaurants charge considerably more for. My wife had the lamb (a favorite of hers) and with no sense of hyperbole, thought it was one of the best lamb meals she had EVER eaten. My seafood dish was also excellent and our four year old ate up all of his fish and chips. Can't be 100% certain but find it exceedingly hard to believe anywhere in town can match this place for quality. Service was also excellent, atmosphere very pleasant and prices quite reasonable. Can confidently say we will only be eating here when we return! Considerable compliments to all involved!
