Hastings is a city and county seat of Adams County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 24,907 at the 2010 census. It is known as the town where Kool-Aid was invented by Edwin Perkins in 1927, and celebrates that event with the Kool-Aid Days festival every August. Hastings is also known for Fisher Fountain, and during World War II operated the largest Naval Ammunition Depot in the United States.

HK is one of the 2 top sports bars in Hastings. Plenty of TV's and they'll tune in your game. Many quality food items, but the burgers are always satisfying. Cold beer and usually a beer/drink special late afternoon/early evening. Only complaint is the small amount of french fries in an order with a burger. Other than that, it's a local favorite of ours.

Pleasant, friendly, relaxed. Nice clean and open minimalist decor (big windows to the street), open floor plan lets you see the brewery workings. Good local and regional beers. Growlers available (always a plus). Receptive to and supportive of local arts & culture. Good folks.

We like to eat here, whenever we are in town. Rivals offers up food, Keno and plenty of TV's. Great atmosphere plus awesome service, usually equals a good time. The food is always scrumptious and the beers are always cold. Try a burger or go for the 'Pigs Wings ' (we all know pigs fly), you will enjoy. Now get over there with some friends or family. Heck, you could even offer up a truce for now and by your rival a beer!

They redefine the word slow. I've been there three times and each time was unbelievable. They do speak quickly, which doesn't help as they have their own code language like 'pink or no pink' instead of the normal well, medium, etc. They are rigid in their seating..10 empty tables and booths and they told me I had to take a high top or the booth by the door. I had to ask for the manager to get a normal table..of the 10 empty ones.

This place is almost always full. Mostly with the locals who appreciate the good company but welcome strangers easily.Service was friendly and efficient. The night I was there it was Annalee the Czech girl. Steak was good and actually had some beefy flavor to it. A good selection of domestic and import beers. I would certainly go there again next time I pass through Hastings.

Outstanding burgers at this non-chain bar & grill. They have three distinct rooms for dining front/bar/back. Our waitress was friendly and very efficient. The fries and the smoked beans were above average.

Stopped here for dinner during a road trip. Exterior is very nondescript but inside is interesting, clean and welcoming. Broasted chicken sandwich was average and the caramelized onion and blue cheese, thin crust pizza seemed to have no blue cheese but was very good anyway. I can definitely recommend the porter on tap. We would return.
