but that does not mean it is tatty! Read the few existing reviews and will tell you about our meal on a Monday lunchtime which as many will know is a day when loads of places close and try to give you a clearer picture. You have to find it first! If you stand at the bottom of the sloping main street with your back to the sea , turn right and you are opposite the fish quay. Walk 80 yards and it is on the left. As we were eating at our hotel that night we only wanted a plat de jour. There was a sign for tapas and thought a few of those might fit the bill. These were for the evening. Anyway having just a plat was no problem and staff were very pleasant and good natured. The décor is very cheerful with vibrant colours like lime green and orange giving a Mexican tone to dressers and other accent furniture. Our food was beef stew and cod. The stew was well conceived with fresh tomatoes and red peppers and a good quantity of meat. This was served with plain rice that was nutty and a good accompaniment with a salad that was dressed with a hint of sesame oil. The cod was a sizeable chunk and so fresh, it came with pasta and the salad. Observing other folk having the three courses for round about 14 euros there were fish rillettes served in a kilner jar or a plate which had jambon cru (expensive stuff) with other bits. Of desserts I could make out a fromage frais with couli.Wine by the carafe if you wished, reasonably priced. If you are looking for a change from traditional food such as moules this is an alternative and a slightly laid-back establishment which is leaning towards café rather than restaurant and a good bar which would be worth exploring as it is a big feature. They had St. Erwan ( Breton) on pression. The loo is very presentable and contains a few surprises! Seating area outside with ashtrays. All in all we were pleased to have eaten there and will return for the full works.

super location, for food and a walk on the beautiful beach just opposite. Tom was warm and charming and the service efficient. The little ones meal was served before ours which was very thoughtful. Meals were great and value for money :) The cafe gourmand was awesome! would definitely go again, our new favourite place :D

We we told that there would be a 30 minute wait, but after only 15 minutes a table was cleared for us. Our server was very pleasant and offered to speak to us in English, which we never expect, but did appreciate. We ordered the beef on a skewer and tagliatelle with smoked salmon. We found both of these to be delicious. For dessert we shared creamy, flavorful ice cream and a tapas what I would call little pancakes with different sauces. The cost of our meal was indeed a bonus as it was very reasonable. Our only regret is that we found this place at the end of our vacation, so we may not be able to return before we leave!

Having passed this restaurant many times we decided to call in for Sunday lunch. It is a very pleasant clean and large restaurant. Much larger than it appears from the road. There was just one, lovely young man serving and to say he was busy would be a gross understatement. How he managed to keep a smile on his face I do not know. The menus are wide and perhaps we chose the wrong one but the food we received was mediocre at best. There is another restaurant within a hundred yards whose prices are comparable and whilst the decor is more simple the quality of the food is far superior. Needless to say we will not be reurning.
