We went to Grey Gums hotel for lunch. I had a burger and it was woeful. The patty tasted like it had been in the freezer for 6 months and then it had been boiled. Would not go back.

Spur serves its famous flame-grilled burgers and steaks, fresh salads and decadent desserts to families from all over the world. As a distinctly family-orientated band, we offer an environment where the whole âtribeâ can come relax and enjoy themselves. T
Went here with my son recently as we both enjoy steak. I had the rump and he had the lazy-aged. We had the prawns for a starter and both enjoyed those too. I had a side salad with my main. Servings are generous and I didnât finish all of mine, but the meal was very good. As I wasnât driving I indulged in a chocolate cocktail: yum! Staff are always pleasant and service is good. Have been here a few times & always enjoy it. Would happily recommend this restaurant. It has an extensive menu, so something to please everyone.

Food is always good at Maze Rowers Penrith. I had the seafood board and it was pretty good. All the other meals, there were 10 in total (Birthday boy paid) were very well received. Many only suggestion would be the wine available was very limited at the Rowers and could have some more variety. Saying that good selection of beers. Definitely recommend but please some more wine selection. Thanks

Located in the heart of Blaxland, in the lovely lower mountains region. A friendly & traditional pub. With plenty to offer including delicious pub food, a wide selection tap beer & large bottle shop. Join us for some fun. Our large sports bar & VIP lounge
frequent visitor to this recently refurbed little restaurant, started off quite well with new owners and nicely decorated with music memoribillia . Disappointed with lack of ready smiles when ordering meals/being served. Some disappointment that accompanying veges are packet not freshly cooked, shame, because main component of meal is lovely, good value for $10 but needs to be tweaked a bit, and what cost a ready smile?

Arrived just before 5.30pmtook some time to get in as all the doors said to use the side door - which was locked.went back and tried every door until one opened.Maybe have clearer instructions on the doors????!!Found a table in the first seating area after standing waiting for a while for a staff member to acknowledge us.... so grabbed a couple of menus and sat down.went to grab a drink from the bar - no cocktails served during the week.... no Appletons or Mt Gay Rum.... so had to rethink our drink order.came back to find our menus gone.Started again - grabbed menus and discussed what we were going to have. obviously the locals know how this place works as at 5.30pm there were loads of people and they were lined up by the register to place their order. so lined up aswel.Ordered which seemed to go smoothly - although I did order the avocado salad with chicken, and was charged the amount without chicken.... thought maybe I read the menu wrong.....People behind us were served their meals before us.... even got their second course before our first arrived. Took 40mins from order to service.Arrived - my dinner had no chicken.large portion and loads of avocado throughout salad. very nice but dripping in dressing a bit too much.Left full.Unfortunately I was up quite late feeling very unwell getting 'rid' of my meal.Bar staff was friendly and helpful, servers were friendly.food prep and delivery could be done better to prevent illness and long waits.

Located on High St Penrith, Mr Watkins is a cafe by day and an old fashioned bar/restaurant by night. Chefs Rod Parbery and Wayne Jenkins serve both quality interpretations of classic dishes and daring new ventures into the uncharted territories of food t
Mr Watkins what can I say, firstly your staff and bar staff are amazing, friendly efficient and know their food and drinks. This is the 3rd time since February and not one thing can I fault. This is the second time of no booking and nothing was too much trouble. Cocktails are made well on point and not dated yet executed with a knowledgeable touch, beer is craft thank god with local and boutique breweries supported. Ok so staff are wonderful, drinks menu extensive i cannot fault the food but I am waiting for it to change as Iâm really not of fan of gourmet hotdogs(havenât tried them) and the menu whilst delicious and faultless I am looking forward to maybe a spring menu.Mr Watkins give your staff a huge congratulations

Wow, quite surprised at the previous reviews..We arrived just before opening time for the bistro, which afforded me the opportunity to chat with the girl at the till about meals for vegetarians..there were only breads listed as vegetarian....no good for me..She very kindly checked with the chef, who was very amenable to change the pasta, burger, risotto into something for us.. so we ordered two different vege pastas and a fish and chips for my husband.. Garlic bread arrived in quick time, then the mains ...( very quickly ,considering that the place was filling up..) The mains..all three dishes were very large, to say the least..Pastas were VERY flavoursome and full of veggies..Hubbies fish and chips were fresh, crispy and just right...the chips were delicious..Teas and coffees, cheesecake and a stack of chocolate freckles later, very happy.. congratulations to the chef and all the efficient staff working today.. weâll be back.

We went there many times before. Today we just passed through the Club and wanted to have lunch. The lunch deal is $12. I ordered roast of the day which was yum - couple pieces of roast pork with roasted vegetables and lots of gravy. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Hubby got Lamb Fry and Bacon - yummy Lamb Fry, lots of vegetables, mash potatoes. Cannot find any bacon anywhere? We did not bother to complain.

Something different in the lower mountains region Anthony Bros & Co are open 6 nights and Thursday through to Sunday from 12pm for lunch the dinner from 5pm Anthony Bros & Co has its own blend of coffee sourced locally and a great menu to choose from. Veg
Iâm convinced they arrived at the local Vinnies and backed up a van. Whatever random pictures and stuff ended up fitting in they used to decorate this place! Diner style burgers and ribs menu and some veggie options too. 50s style soundtrack adds to the ambiance. Very good service and decent local beers on tap. Reasonably priced and worth a look for a good and filling burger option.
