While Novatos Bar and Grill is a new venture for us, the restaurant business certainly isn't. My wife and I have both been working in the food service industry since we were children, and we have brought our experience and expertise to bear on every facet
Service here was great. The Portuguese clams were great as well as the Greek Salad. The salmon was great. The Portuguese Stew was good, but lacked seasoning and the mussels were not the freshest. The kids liked the pizza and pasta. Would go back.

Twenty 8 Food & Spirits is an upscale restaurant & bar featuring regional, sustainable American cuisine with a modern flair that utilizes an exhibition style stone hearth oven to create flatbreads, appetizers and light entrees.
I've reviewed 28 before and it missed on a few items. I recently came back for lunch to get what I thought was the best thing on the menu - the poutine. However, they've changed it or they have a different one on the lunch menu - but what I ordered was the hangover poutine. This was fries, with gravy and cheese - classic poutine. However, they added slices of pork belly and an over easy egg. Now, before I get started - I love an over easy egg - and most of the time it puts a smile on my face - but it just didn't work in this dish for a few reasons. First - the pork belly was to sparing - there needs to be more of it. It needs to be incorporated into the dish not just sitting on top as eye candy. 2nd, the fries were overcooked. I'm not sure if this was done on purpose to hold up to the gravy, but my fires tasted old and recooked to me, and not crisp golden brown like they should be. 3rd, the creaminess of the yolk is fine, but the egginess of the egg throws off the flavors in my opinion. If you want to creaminess, leave in the yolk, but I don't think creaminess is what you search for in a dish like this. The other issue I had at this visit was the wait. There was nobody in the restaurant and it took over 30 minutes to get my food. the staff was very nice and polite letting me know it was on it's way - sorry it's taking so long, etc. not sure why it takes that long to cook fries - but I'm glad I didn't order a steak.Dear TDK44,Thank you for taking the time to provide us with feedback regarding your second dining experience with us. I have reviewed your comments with both our Executive Chef and our Restaurant Manager so that we can focus on improving in these areas. Thank you again for providing us with your comments.Sincerely,Scott Williams, GM

Went for a late lunch. Restaurant was not full many tables open but still a 20 minute wait. Tried to order appetizers but they were out of the onion rings, fried pickles etc. only pretzel bites or nachos available. We passed and ordered lunch. Handful or fries and a burger. Got free refills of fries but they took ten minutes to come out. There also wasnât silverware or place settings we had to ask for them. Our server was nice but we wouldnât come back. Not worth the money or time.

The inside is tired, overly crowded at times, and very loud. If your a regular you absolutely get preferred treatment. We sat, received menus and placed a drink order, then the table across was sat, clearly regulars as they were catching up with the server, they received menus, placed a drink order, received their drinks and their order was taken for dinner, and there was a lot of chatting. I am all for "being a regular" and getting maybe a little extra, but anywhere we have been when that is the case, who ever is waiting on us, honestly treats everyone the same. Too bad the food was good, we would sit at the bar, maybe, or get take out.

Flynn's Irish pub is a very popular place with the locals and it's easy to see why. They're known for their extensive beer and burger selections. They also offer a selection of salads, wraps, pub sandwiches and "traditional" Irish fare; bangers n mash, shepherd's pie, corned beef and cabbage. Parking is limited and on a Saturday night you may have to wait 1/2 hour for a table. The interior is typical pub decor, very large bar and a fireplace. They also have live music many nights. The burgers are delicious!

A great local, family restaurant - the food is always good and very reasonable priced. It's been around for years and will last for many more! We have a separate dining rom that can be reserved for private parties. We do buffet's, sit down lunch and dinne
This is where the locals eat. Good food, casual atmosphere, reasonable prices. Gave it a 4 instead of 5 star rating because I'd like them to switch up the specials more often. But the food is really good.

We were there pre-concert and enjoyed frosty cold beer and outstanding lobster rolls. The rolls were oversized and absolutely stuffed with large chunks of lobster meat. The dressing was very light and not too much mayonnaise. Also try the onion rings they are very tasty. My husband had the potato salad with his lobster roll. The serving was very very generous and delicious too!

Party of 6, mid afternoon, not busy at all. Hostess had her head in the clouds, server practically whispered and was little help when asked about menu items. Lobster roll was ok. Clam chowder was too salty and no other flavor. Salad was lackluster. Sushi was off-putting and made two in our party sick.
