No Wake Bar and Grill is a family friendly beach style restaurant/bar located on the fox river. Great food, great atmosphere and friendly service is what we strive for. Kitchen is open from 11:30am to 9:00pm daily.
Easy access off the river, big electric sign pointing to the entrance. Nice docks. The atmosphere, service and food great. Try the homemade chips, salsa and guacomole. Very tasty burgers. Refreshing cocktails and beer on tap. I highly recommend eating here.

I am a pretty laid back individual and appreciate that mistakes and oversights will happen. But the deplorable lack of service from this venue is absolutely inexcusable. We were scoping out Grovers Bar and Grill in Fox River Grove to cater our daughters 6th birthday party. We went there for lunch on a Saturday afternoon to try the fare to see if it would be suitable for our daughter's birthday. The food was as one might expect, some of it good, some not so good. For a 6 year old birthday party, it was good enough. My wife called the following Monday and ordered all of the food, a sizable order which included appetizers, a main, sides and a salad for a houseful of people. The girl who took her order told her it would be no problem to fill a our catering order and that it would be started the morning of the party. She also advised us that they would call us in advance with the total at 4:00 pm the day of the party and deliver the food to us no later than 5:00. So 4:00 comes and goes and no phone call, then 5:00 comes and no food arrives. At 5:15 my wife calls and asks if they could track our order for us. By now you've probably already guessed, they had no idea what we were talking about. We gave them the name of the person who took our order and they put us on hold to double check on our order. When they came back to the phone they simply said, "that person isn't even working today and we don't have an order for you, sorry". My wife shared with them that we had a house full of hungry people that they had agreed to provide food for, that sorry doesn't quite cut it, was there absolutely anything they could do to help us. Their answer was short, curt and to the point, "nope, sorry". Again, I understand there can be oversights, but this was booked well in advance and we even gave them our billing information in advance to they could apply it to the credit card. One would think that simply to save the business and try to make nice with the customer they would have at least TRIED to resolve the problem. I could have given them at least one solution, bring the easily prepared food first to start and the balance a little later. But apparently attempting to resolve a problem they created is not part of their service model. To summarize, the food is marginal at best and the service is the absolute worst I have ever experienced simply because they do not care.

We have been going for years. Very extensive menu. Plenty of variety. The food is quite good. We had the fish and chips special for lunch and it was a huge portion and delicious. Our server was very attentive and friendly. A good casual dining spot that is always reliable.

We drive by the place every once in a while. Always see the specials on their sign so we decided to try on half price burger night! Yum! Big burger with fries. Will try another night for another special!

Visit Kelsey Road House for an unbelievable dining experience. With our fresh meals made in-house, our lovely outdoor patio and our spacious banquet hall, we can ensure you and your group have an enjoyable experience at our restaurant.
Good basic food and kitsch, on the patio they have flamingos on walls, need I say more! The restaurant is your typical neighbourhood spot, its dark and full of regulars just as it should be. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable and the food is typical good pub food, if you are expecting fine dinning this is not the place, hence the name Roadhouse. I passed by this place on RT. 14 numerous times and never went in until recently with my husband and we were pleasantly surprised, I was expecting a hole, but this place was clean and respectable. We sat on the patio overlooking the lawn, I just love the garage doors and flamingo paintings. We had the burgers which were pretty good and they have a good beer, mixed drinks and wine selection, we indulged in all three, I must say this is one of the few neighbourhood places we have been in that the staff did not look at us as if we had two heads or they should call intervention when we ordered multiple beers, a bottle of wine for one, and mixed drinks. Also the chocolate cake is amazing, I wish I was not so full from the burger and was able to finish it, they give you a slab not a sliver. To their credit, they do try and keep families with children far enough away from dinners with no children, so that you can have a adult conversation, and not have to cope with children running about and being loud. I would recommend if you are adults with no children to go later in the afternoon or evening, we have been twice, 1st time was pretty late and there were very few families, 2nd time was earlier and there were more families, unfortunately a family with two children were seated close by us, and the mum getting up to serve her children that were well past toddler age did get a bit annoying for my husband since she had to walk in back of him every time the kids wanted something(they looked to be between 8-12, old enough to put food on the plate without help, but they were also drinking out of cups with lids on them, and the whole family had the table manners of barn animals) so lesson learned, go later, but that really did not damper our experience, our wait person was great, and we will be back. Also they have plenty of parking close to the door. I would recommend you don't pass this place, its a hidden neighbourhood gem.

My wife and I had dinner here. The Horseshoe Grill has a nice selection of bottled beers and some nice draughts. We both had their draught Stiegl-Goldbräu, an Austrian beer, which was very good and unique in this area. We both had their "dynamite burger" which was excellent and quite tasty. This place was really busy when we were there on a Saturday night.

A cheerful environment. Lots of light wood, casual, spacious and upbeat pub. The service was friendly and the food selection was varied. The fish and chips had a very light, crisp batter coating and the chips were also light. The fish tacos were flavorful, and served with a coarse slaw and tasty relish. The dark beer was rich and smooth. This is the perfect stop over when visiting the San Fillipo Estates....literally seven minutes away.

We were looking for something new and different and we definitely found it here! We were tired of the "same ol' same ol'" and this restaurant popped up on facebook. We tried it and we were so pleasantly surprised! Great food! My husband and son each got the slider sampler and I got the Pep and Age flatbread. They both thought most of the sliders were great. One was a little too hot (spicy). My husband wasn't crazy about the buns they used which I guess were toasted, but he said they were too hard. It made them a little difficult to eat. My flat bread was wonderful. It had pepperoni, sausage and olives. The sauce was slightly sweet and delicious. We also ordered an order of cheese curds. They just melt in your mouth! They were great! We'll definitely be back to try more wonderful dishes!

I enjoyed this space when it was Galatiâs and have supported the new Galatiâs since their move. Went to 750 Cucina Rustica for the first time Friday evening and had an excellent dinner. Salads, soup, pastas and other mains were well prepared and beautifully presented. While Galatiâs menu seems Italian American, Cucina Rustica was more varied and perhaps more authentic. Desserts were beyond good. Cary is fortunate to have both Cucina Rustica and Galatiâs!
