Location: Facing the waterfront, this place also has an outdoor patio on the side.Décor: Typical bar look with lots of wood and televisions. Not a lot of signage in the front to draw you in. It does not appear to be accessible either as guests need to climb some steps up from street level.Service: We found our server to be professional and helpful enough.Food: They have a good selection for wings and burgers. Some seafood items might also be a good choice such as the fish sandwich or fish tacos.Overall: If you are looking for solid pub fare, this seems to be a contender.

We popped in on a Saturday and luckily found seating at the bar around 6 pm. Met some wonderful locals touting the highlights of this wonderful city and restaurant. Highly recommend the hummus platter = bacon scallops (FRESHEST EVER) for a light dinner paired with Pulpit (IPA), Caprice (raspberry blonde ale) and Quick Eternity (west coast style IPA). Definitely plan on revisiting this quaint historic seaport town and Moby's in the near future. Thanks so much for stopping in and we're so glad you had a great time! Thanks for leaving a nice review! We hope to see you again, and there will be new beers for you to try next visit!Cheers!Michael WarrenGeneral Manager

I was hoping for a better experience. Service was good - food pedestrian at best. The side garden salad was cold, but the lettuce was tough and the few croutons and tomatoes uninteresting. The burgundy dressing was bitter. The portion size of the smothered steak tips was large, but that's the only good thing I can say about it. The meat was desiccated (tenderized?) and very highly seasoned. The best parts of the dish were the rice pilaf and broccoli. Save your money - dine elsewhere. This is Lisa with the 99 Guest Relations Department. I'm so sorry to hear about your disappointing experience at this location. This is a tapas kind of menu with some fancy and pricey dishes. We had a sort of caprese salad with burrata which was tremendous, some French fries which were tasty but not special, and carbonara with mussels which was really amazing. It wasnât any kind of carbonara, technically, but what the hell, it was delicious. And we had two wine flights which were lovely. At the end of the day, go for the ambiance and location, the food is fine for the price.

I tend not to eat in restaurants that are in hotels or motels, but this time I was glad I did. I enjoyed a very pleasant dinner here. They played soft music which did not interfere with dinner conversation. My cedar plank salmon was beautifully prepared and presented on a bed of tasty garlic mashed potatoes. The side vegetables were cooked just right, not at all over-cooked as so many restaurants seem to do. Prices were reasonable and the menu was varied with a fine assortment of appetizers, salads and sandwiches in addition to the entrees.

Located right next to the harbor, Fathoms Bar & Grille has become an integral part of New Bedford's diverse collection of eateries. Known for its rich culture and historical fishing industry, New Bedford sets the stage for Fathoms Bar & Grille to be the p
We have always had good meals at Fathoms. We take a disabled friend there on a regular basis. The handicap accessability is excellent! My husband and our friend love the Fish and Chips with the beer batter. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside. Served with fries and fresh tasting cole slaw. Last night I had the broiled scallops and scrod caserole. While it was cooked just right I felt it could have used a few more scallops, it was mostly peices of scrod, I also thought the mixed vegetables were nondescript, boring and overcooked. But, over all it is good value for drinks, food, and great service.

I was reluctant to re-visit The Black Whale after the new owners had taken over. The reviews were not complimentary. I received a gift card to the restaurant, and after a day in Boston decided to stop by for drinks and appetizers. We sat at the bar, as the restaurant even at the early hour of 6PM had a 20 minute wait. Service was attentive, calamari and Thai chicken appetizer we ordered arrived promptly and were delicious. We also noticed the kitchen was efficient--dishes flying out, portions were not diminished and staff was responsive and attentive. I look forward to going back for dinner. Though the menus is slightly modified--more offerings--the restaurant was bustling. My only concern--with the events scheduled at the pier--there was limited parking. Otherwise, our experience was excellent.Good morning Carolyn, Glad you dined with us and you were pleasantly surprised. Overall the reviews have greatly improved as the guests realize this is not the old black whale - itâs something new and elevated. Business has been great. Happy to have you on board. Please be in touch, especially if we ever let you down! Thank you.

The Inn is the oldest seaside inn in the nation, still operating as an inn, in its original structure. A short walk to beaches, sailing, fishing, and golf, The Inn is located in the heart of Mattapoisett Village, across from the Town Wharf. Boasting small
Best calamari I have had in my life! On the other hand, the oysters, which came from VA, were small and tasteless. Definitely do not order them until the local oysters are back in. Scallops were good and tuna was fair.

Visited on a Saturday about 6PM. Just beat the crowds. Initially seated upstairs in direct blinding sunlight. Moved.Room is somewhat noisy, but ok.Attentive, pleasant service (although one server had a curious sense of humor).Burger was thick, juicy, not so big. Fries were thin cut, a tad dry, salty.Salad was well received.
