Reviews on Bar food in Ensenada, Ensenada Municipality, Baja California Norte. In Ensenada, only 80 miles south of San Diego, travelers can get a taste of Mexican food, culture and nightlife. Californians flock to this beautiful seaport town, one of the largest on the Baja peninsula, for rest, relaxation and excellent outdoor recreation activities. Let me start off by saying that I read several reviews before going back to La Fonda. I tried all the restaurants along the row their over a year ago and was NOT impressed. But I was willing to give it another chance. Big mistake. The food is mediocre at best; It is very uninspired and not that tasty. The service is lackluster. The restaurant is not clean. (The view is beautiful.)I seriously doubt I will return. You can get a much better meal for the price and there are lots of great views along the Baja coast.

I talked to the owner at the Tijuana Beer Festival on 7-19-13 and the brewery has moved due losing the lease on the building so the information in my previous review is now outdated.Specifically it is now quite a long walk to the fish taco stand mentioned in the previous review. The owner says that they are now in a converted 100 year or so old mansion with a beer garden about 7-8 blocks up on the street which Hussong's and Papas & Beer are located on.. At the TJ beer festival all the the beers I tried were great. Amont the most memorable to me were the the Red Agave IPA, the Dos Pablos, IPA, and a dark beer with maple flavor (I almost sure it was it was a smoked maple porter but due to variety of beers at the festival and my not taking written notes I can't say for sure). Next time I am in Ensenada I plan to the new location an see the beer garden and possibly post an update! I wonder if they still have a children's play area?
The food and service was excellent and prices were not that bad. We had just about everything on the menu and it was all good. We will come back again some day.

This is a large craft brewery with a good amount of space including a small second floor. There is a childrenâs playground in the background. Tried a flight with Four beers, all seemed good with no overwhelming hop flavor. This place is very popular and gets full. Didnât try the food so canât comment on that. They played 70âs-90âs rock in English. Pretty loud for conversations. Place seems like a decent enough hang out spot, but nothing wow about it.

Amazing restaurant decor and ambiance. We made dinner reservations based on Trip Advisor reviews. Therefore, we drove there at night. It's a bit out of the way, in a neighborhood. But once we got there, WOW. The food was delicious, the service was outstanding and the wines were yummy. Will definitely go back next time we are in the Valle.
