No food. This place is scary. They did try to make it a little nicer on the outside recently. There is no food and the main attraction would be beer.
Old fashioned tavern with meals. Had the Hungarian Burger. Was excellent. Quiet little place. If your lucky and he has the time, sit down and have a chat with Joe. Heâll keep the food coming and Sheila will keep your beer flowing. Loved the experience.

The Black River Tavern offers farm-fresh salads, sharable appetizers, gourmet burgers, smoked meats & homemade desserts, prepared with locally sourced ingredients. Open for lunch & dinner, Happy Hour, and Sunday Brunch. A casual restaurant & sports bar, w
We have gone here several times since they have opened. The food and service have been great. Both my wife and I have brought various friends and most have been very pleased. The little old prissy women; not so much! We hope for their success and want to see this in full swing in the summer when golf season in Ohio is active.

The wings were great. Perfect amount of sauce. Cold beer. Friendly staff. Quick service. I'll be back.

If you are looking for a place to have a beer and burger then this is the place for you; if you are looking for something with a more ârestaurant atmosphereâ select somewhere else. Seating is on high bar stools inside (there are only a few chair/table combos inside, but several outside on the patio area). Keep this in mind if you have any handicapping conditions. Service was friendly and we were acknowledged quickly. Our server, however (Kelly), was not aware of the types of beers available (dark, light, local, etc) which we consider essential for a waitress (as non-locals we are not familiar with the local brews). We ordered burgers medium - while they were hot and tasty, there was not a touch of pink anywhere to be found. Would we eat here again - yes......but next time will order our burgers rare!

This particular location can be kinda hit-or-miss, or so I heard. For me, it's what I've come to expect from the chain restaurant. The food quality is good, service is diligent, though slowed during peak hours, and it's the prices you expect. Overall, if you like Applebee's, you'll enjoy this location.

Rubin's Deli & Restaurant has two locations in Elyria, OH. Our flagship store on Leona St. has been open for over 30 years. We have an expansive menu for breakfast, lunch, and dinner to excite even the most pickiest palate. We are well known for our extra
Everytime I go to the Cleveland Clinic in Chestnut Commons, I always make a stop at Rubin's Deli & Restaurant, which is directly across the street. They offer a variety of American and Lebanese meals. I used to love the egg salad croissant, but it is no longer offered. Switching to chicken salad was just as good. Today, I ordered the chicken salad plate which consisted of a heaping mound of chicken salad, a slightly smaller serving of potato salad, two egg halves, sliced black olives and a pickle. All for only $10.00. The salads are fresh and made in house.Rubin's has a warm décor and is not loud. It's a great place to come with friends for a quiet lunch without TV's blaring with sports.I wish Rubin's was closer to me, for I would dine there quite often.

I really don't have anything exciting to say about this restaurant. Small place, prices not that great for the quality of food. the sauce on the burgers were overloaded and oozing all over. good onion rings. Perch dinner was ok but sort of high priced for the 4 small pieces of fish. The cole slaw was one of the worst I ever tasted. Not sure I want to return.

We were traveling from New York to Chicago and decided to spend the night in Elyria. After talking to a local person, we decided to try the Foundry as both of us are gluten free and the menu listed several gluten free choices. Usually gluten free means "taste free" - but this was not the case at the Foundry. We sampled the tomato bisque soup which was very flavorful and well seasoned. I had the Asian style salmon and received a large plate with a HUGE salmon filet over rice noodles with red pepper and peapods. My husband had a sandwich - gluten free choices for sandwiches were Texas Toast or bun. He had the Texas Toast which was delicious. Only small gaff was that our waitress had 10 tables to service - so things were a little slow, but we didn't mind. The menu has several appetizers, salads, entrees, desserts, and a large array of alcoholic beverages. When in the area we would definitely return.

We've stayed in Elyria a handful of times on our way to visit family further west (from DC). We've tried Wolfey's a couple of times & are fans. This is a well-run establishment - I'm talking in a class with the Gaylord in Dallas, TX with its convention crowds! This time there was a wait for a table in the regular part of the restaurant but none for the bar in the back. A bar that has multiple (empty) tables! We opted for the bar but didn't realize immediately the empty tables are up for grabs. The bartender was fast & super nice - directed us to the tables. We had our drink order then our meal order taken & arrive super fast. The waiter was unobtrusive but kept an eye out for us. There were 'normal' meal choices for my husband & interesting specials & seasonal choices for me. Seasonal drinks too - which I really enjoy trying. It was loud with multiple sports TVs but we were so pleased with the quality of the service, drinks & food it just didn't matter. A place we plan to come back to whenever we're in Elyria.
