Called in here after walking around the city on a hot day.Very cool inside (aircon) or outside under the umbrellas. Friendly staff. Quick service.Tables clean - pubs usually have very sticky tables .Lots of seating. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their food.Great atmosphere with quiet background music...perfect.Definately worth a visit.

A great place to try the wild game of Australia. We tried the Jack's game platter and got to sample kangaroo, wild boar, buffalo (different from American buffalo), crocodile, camel, and emu. And you can try steaks or other dishes with those meats. And the beef steaks were amazing. Seafood options are plenty too; Wife tried the barramundi and that was also delicious! Bigger selection of beers than most Australian restaurants. Try the local Western Australia beers on tap.

Went here on recommendation of a ex Perth local. Bruschetta to start was delicious! Fresh, tasty, enough to share between a few people. Would definitely recommend the bruschetta. Had the pork rib special, which was quite good. The sauce was delicious, the coleslaw yummy and the serve was plentiful. Dessert was apple crumble, very generous serving, perhaps too much, but excellent value at $7.95. Service was faultless and the atmosphere was really nice as well. If you are looking for a good or excellent steak if you are a wine lover Sentinel is your place. Large wine list Australian of course but others as well. The beef is very tender and tasty. On the negative side extremely noisy which means that clients are happy and a dining room not to be remembered except for the numerous wine bottles on the walls.

I recently attended here for the first time for a friends party and was pleasantly surprised. I had never been before and have long seen it standing there since it used to be known as the Red Castle and later when it was known as Empire Bar. The castle used to be a bit of a dive but the Empire bar had certainly fixed that. There is lots of parking available which is surprising as its so close to the casino. It had many areas in which to drink, both inside and out. The beer garden out the back is huge as is the big screen for entertainment. The food was actually extremely good and service was impeccable. I found they also had a good range of beers both craft and lager. The front outdoor area is cool with a bar and fantastic appeal. It trained on the day we were there but it was fantastic. Although we were here on a function I would definitely recommend it to come back for a casual drink with a meal.

We were looked after from start to finish. The cocktail list was fantastic and my Fiery Ginger was exceptionally yummy. The food, though made to share was great when eaten solo. Can recommend the steak with Chorizo and Bacon sauce and the fried chicken was amazing. We were looked after by the whole team, but Sarah our waitress was fantastic. Will definitely go again. Thanks Linda, glad you enjoyed you visit.
