Food was very good quality - service excellentWine list was limited & quite expensive The refurbishment was obviously very expensive The road entrance is still a shamblesNot quite sure what it is trying to be ......... a giant upmarket pub that doesnt want children ? A local pub with high prices?Will probably return

Hillside Hotel is located in Castle Hill. Easy to get to from bus terminal and plenty of parking if you drive. We enjoy coming here for a Sunday lunch. Good variety on the menu and very easy to order from counter and food comes quick. Place is busy and seems popular with groups. You can also hold a special occasion here and it looks like they are pretty well prepared to host such events. Friendly atmosphere and if you fancy watching some sport on the big screen, there are plenty of seating options available to do it with a drink.Thanks so much for taking the time to write this review Manick!Sundays are a pretty chilled day at Hillside and glad you are enjoying it. As you've probably noticed, we are currently doing renovations and will be making the bistro far more comfortable . My daughter wanted to come here for her birthday as she likes the food and atmosphere. Here on a Monday and a good crowd in. Service was outstanding and Jamie the manager on duty was very friendly and welcoming. Another server assisted us and we ordered the share platter for my wife and I. Really good value and perfectly cooked food.We had a cake for my daughters birthday and they took care of it and presented it with all the bells and whistles.The servers and manager were all friendly and attentive. Nothing was a problem and we really enjoyed it. I also noticed the manager, Jamie was helping out his staff well as there was a good patronage for a Monday night.Cannot fault the food, service or value.Will be back soon !!!
