Two Saturday's in a row, we've been very disappointed with Mackey's. That's really a shame because they used to be very consistent, but, it appears those days have gone by the wayside. Last Saturday, my wife and I ordered a couple of burgers for take out....my wife ordered a burger with American cheese, sautéed onions, and sautéed mushrooms. The burger comes with lettuce, tomato, and sliced onion, so we ordered, and paid extra for the cheese and sautéed onions and mushrooms. When I got home, my wife's burger was missing the lettuce, tomato & sliced onions that was to come with the burger.Tonight, my wife ordered the corned beef and cabbage for take out. When I went to pick it up, I told the server about our burger problem from the week before, and she went back in the kitchen, came back and she said they'd take 5 dollars off the corned beef and cabbage meal.....that's fair. Well, when my wife opened her meal tonight we had a 1st for us.....corned beef and cabbage, with no potatoes in it.....not a single one....never in our long lives have we had this meal, without potatoes......did a Google Search for corned beef and cabbage recipes, and after looking over close to 20 recipes, and seeing that they all had potatoes as a main ingredient, I gave up. Having our meal screwed up two weeks in a row has now put us off this place, and I doubt we'll be back.
I was told this place has been here for 3 months and I never know it was here. (even if you run into Boyers Market you can't see it, its tucked back to the right of the market) So me and my wife went there for dinner last night and both of us were pretty impressed. Menu is a good mix of bar food and healthy items and the prices are pretty decent. I had chicken tacos (excellent) and my wife had a flatbread pizza (also said was excellent) They have 2-3 mix drinks on menu and about 6 draft beers (3 craft 3 budweiser type) Service was excellent. I would recommend

Went on a Thursday night, thinking we could have a somewhat quiet, relaxing dinner (rather than on the weekend when you would expect it to be crowded, busier and noisier). Unfortunately, we learned that Thursday night was some type of promotional night for kids when this particular restaurant had brought in magicians. It appears that the magicians traveled around to the tables where kids were seated, and needless to say the possibility of having a simple conversation during dinner with all of the ruckus in the background was out of the question. We asked to be moved to a different area of the restaurant which helped only slightly.I guess itâs time to cross this place off of our list. A suggestion to management â if you are going to schedule an event like this which will negatively impact the experience of some of your customers, why not seat all of the parties with children on one side/area of the restaurant to minimize the disruption to your adult customers without children?

Our favorite is the cheese steak pizza...you would swear it was a Philly steak on your pizza! You gotta try the eggplant fries with marinara sauce as a side.

Visited this restaurant for the first time this past Thursday. There were 6 of us and everyone enjoyed their lunch. Our server was very good, had a great smile, and knew the menu well. I couldn't decide between the Beef BBQ sandwich, and the Pork BBQ Sandwich, so, I ordered both....both were very tasty, and packed with meat, but the nod goes to the Pork because it was more moist.....The Beef was tasty, but needed to be a bit more moist....but, it wasn't bad. The chips that came with them looked home made and I believe they may have been made from sweet potatoes....at any rate, they were very good, as were the pickle spears....nice and cold, and a nice snap. Two of my friends had the Cuban Sandwich and they both said they were very, very good. Two friends each had a chef's salad, and they were huge, and all the veggies were very fresh. Another member of our group had a craving for bangers and mashed, so that's what he went with.....again...no complaints and he really enjoyed them....it was a nice sized platter, too. We also split a couple orders of their chicken wings, and they were among the best I've had in some time....made fresh, served hot, and the BBQ and Honey Mustard sauces were great!. There's plenty of parking, and the rest rooms are clean.....the front bar area is kind of dingy and dark, but just continue through to the dining room....it's very large with a cathedral ceiling, big screen TV's, and a pool table as well as darts. There's also a beautiful outdoor dining/drinking pavilion for your enjoyment. We chose to eat inside and take advantage of the air conditioning.....We'll be back for sure....Just an FYI....Main Street in Douglassville, is RT. 724.

My nephew-in-law brought us here for an afternoon of drinks and apps. They sure are in an isolated location, as it felt we were in the middle of a forest with greenery and trees everywhere. ATMOSPHERE:Regardless of the raging heatwave, we sat outside under an umbrella-covered table. Some utilized picnic tables and blankets under trees. Communal picnic tables were available on the covered lanai, or indoors in cool a/c. Frisbee golf was available but no one was playing. MENU:Daily combo specials, bar-style apps, pizza, wings, sandwiches, salads. BEVERAGE:SRT Ale - $3.50Man, the last time I paid this little for beer was ages ago!? I donât think it was happy hour either. This brew was slightly hoppy with just a slight bitterness. Helles Golden Lager - $3.50Smooth as a babyâs behind! A bit like Maui Brewing Companyâs Bikini Blonde but minus the nuttiness. FOOD:Brick Oven Wings - $12.50, 10 pc. We ordered the Honey Sriracha which was too hot for me, about an 8 on a 10-heat scale), and plain (no sauce, with side of ranch) which I loved. Their wings are baked, not fried, and still had a nice crunch to the skins. Italian Grinder Pizza - $11.00This chewy thin crust, homemade pie included salami, pepperoni, ham, lettuce, tomato, oregano, and onions (which we axed). The tomatoes and lettuce were sprinkled on after the pizza was baked which kept them fresh and juicy. SERVICE:Order inside, open a tab, carry your drink out, and your food is delivered to you via a table number sign. No wait staff is available, only bussers. Counter staff were friendly and moved the line quickly. TIP:They also sell their beers to-go in their infamous wide-mouth can where the entire top comes off. OVERALL:Affordable craft beer, good food. A five star rating could be had if table service were available.
