Great for panini and beer! I am sure they have wine but everyone seemed to be drinking beer and they had a good selection of non Italian beers on tap. Panini was great, you get to chose all your own ingredients and it comes to you quickly fresh hot and delicious for 6 euro! Server was great, he spoke English and was really helpful.

A friend took me to Pausacafe, her local coffee shop, when I arrived at the nearby train station just in time for a late lunch. What a sunny, mod little cafe---and in the most surprising spot---right by the supermarket. I had a light lunch of prosciutto and canteloupe. Absolutely fabulous. But then, it's hard to get that one wrong. Prices for daily specials listed on the chalk board were very affordable. It seems everyone here knows one another, so it is definitely a local hangout. To me, that is always reassuring. Wish I had stayed longer in Donoratico, so I could have returned to Pausacafe!

I love the ice cream and this shop, there's always a great variety of flavours. I recommend the wine flavoured or pistachio ice cream.

I visited this restaurant in August 2019, on holiday with my wife. This trattoria proposes a selection of Tuscany dishes, but has a slightly less usual, although still traditional, menu than the mainstream trattoria. My wife for example had pigeon, slowly cooked in red wine and extremely tender. I had roasted cockerel, excellent. As antipasto, a selection of wild boar meat: salame, prosciutto, croutons and sausage. Not unusual to find cinghiale in a Tuscany restaurant, but a whole cinghiale board could be slightly more challenging than expected. In fact it was excellent. I was advised by a woman who looked like the owner or the managed to try their caciucco (typical fish soup from livorno) but i was in the mood for meat. Hopefully I'll have the opportunity to visit again!Only drawback: their house wine has an appealing price (8.5⬠for a bottle) but wasn't amazing. Which might be expected given the price, but i would rather have proper home wine in a jug than a bottle of not so amazing wine. But the rest was great. Service was also up to standard. I truly recommend.
