Mahi Mahi is the best seafood restaurant in Dikwella, Sri Lanka. It's the ideal place to experience fresh seafood for an affordable price. The restaurant is situated on a picturesque and clean sandy beach ideal for chilling, sunbathing and a dip in a sea.
Incredibly bad and slow service! We arrived and were greeted by no one. There was a group of five and us three and it took for ages for us to get the menu. After that it took for nearly an hour for us to get our meals! Waiter didnât seem to understand me who spoke English, so the Sinhalese people in my group had to translate for him. When we asked to order cocktails, the waiter said itâs not possible because he cannot make them - WHAT?! Food was basic and not great in any way. Sweet and sour chicken was just overly fried chicken with tons of pepper - not even any sauce. The location on the beach is wonderful and the restaurant is nice looking and they have great swings on the beach. Wouldnât recommend this place for anyone. Can get better food for the same price (or cheaper) elsewhere.

Situated on the very best spot on the beach, the Oncillawa delivers a pleasant, romantic and tasty setting, whether being during the day or in our case, enjoying the sunset and later on, the cosy dark close to the ocean. The service was superfriendly. The food very nice. The vibe just super. Thanks

So good... this place is Sri Lankan prices! And has local Sri Lankan food, which itâs delicious. Service was fantastic, the view and location is lovely, really chill vibe. Recommend if you want to get away from the western vibes in town and enjoy what Sri Lanka is all about. The local eats.

We enjoyed seafood, salad and pasta, and it was all great! Easy to tell that all food was fresh- we even experienced meeting the fishermen delivering fish directly from the sea, and got to pick what we wanted to eat.Service is the best and the relaxed vibe is awsome. We want to return!

Zephyr Talalla is a Villa and Sri Lankan fusion Restaurant & Bar, located right on the beach in Talalla Bay.
We were blown away on arriving here by the warm welcome from the staff and the impressive setting. It's lovely to be right on the beach and with so few rooms you can really indulge in what it does best here. We found a lovely couple of sunbeds under the trees which felt like a real escape. The place is stunning and feels really special - particularly thanks to all the staff. They also were fantastically accommodating for my mum's gluten intolerance. In fact they were enormously helpful with any ask and arranged a driver to get us to the airport. We made the mistake of eating elsewhere a couple of times - but this is the best food on the beach by a very long way. I'd stick here for the food! The cocktails are equally delicious (try the Mai Tai!). We were very sad to leave and I miss waking up to the sound of the waves breaking. This is a really quiet end of the beach - perfect for watching both sunrise and sunset too! Thank you Zephyr team for sharing your paradise with us :)

I love a good Poke since Iâve been to Hawaii a few years ago. Having eating Poke in Hawaii you become a bit spoiled and it is hard to find genuinely good poke places. I wouldnât say that the poke at XXX is authentic, but it was delicious. The rice was especially amazing and the tuna felt fresh. It was a great beach lunch, plus they have a groovy restaurant setting. Super nice place for an afternoon lunch, for sure.
