Hit "The Deck" on Saturday night with friends and family. Wings, cheesesteaks, nachos were all excellent. Bar food at its finest. We found the service to be extremely friendly and attentive. We eat out with a lot of large groups and our waitress has been one of the few to split the tab 3 ways, between 2 tables without a single error. Will be closing down for the Winter soon but I would highly recommend it for next Spring/Summer.

Chain restaurants can rise and fall on the quality spectrum when there are changes in cooks or the manager overseeing operations. For years, the Applebees in Ephrata has been a good place to go for a relaxing meal. This past week was the exception. We were served a large portion of anxiety and frustration, along with a baked potato that was barely warm and raw, and a steak that was mostly gristle and undercooked. Our chicken broccoli chesse alfredo dish had no sauce, the noodles plain, lacking any cheese. Accidents happen. Mistakes are made. What matters is how the mistakes are handled. A dish of alfredo sauce was brought to the table so we could cover the dry noodles. As for the steak and potato, it was returned to the kitchen where it sat and sat. I did the same, waiting 45 minutes. When asked why the delay, the waitress said they put the order in all over again, wanting us to be pleased. Everyone had finished their meal and were ready to go when my meal finally arrived - the potato still luke warm and raw (You couldn't break it apart with your fork. It needed a knife to cut into it, and then it was hard and chewy.) The steak was the same piece of meat, mostly gristle, although cooked a little more. No appologies, no explanations. The manager took the meal off the bill, which I ate later on at home so as not to keep everyone waiting. Does Applebees in Ephrata deserve another chance ... Yes, but not for a while !

We visited with family and had 22 people. They accommodated us very nicely. The waitress were patient and the food was good. Their menu is huge which I think can be overwhelming and I would rather have a place specialize in a few excellent items then try to be a "jack of all trades". That being said, everyone enjoyed their food! I didn't hear one complaint. I stuck with the bratwurst and sauerkraut which I really enjoyed. And the German potato salad comes highly recommended! It set back and not easy to find but that really isn't a big deal.

My husband and I visited this establishment last evening for dinner and some brews. We really enjoyed ourselves! There was a nice assortment of beer selections, and all were distinctive and good. The food is your basic pub food - above average and will satisfy your hunger, though probably not the drawing force for visiting, but combined with the beer you'll have a good experience. The place is small, but there's a nice outside patio to sit out on - the warmer weather made the patio the place to be when we were there! There appeared to only be two people running the show, but both were very capable, friendly and efficient. We have no complaints! We'll definitely be back.

We decided to check out this place because we had never been here. When we entered, it was almost like a Cheers atmosphere. I think everyone else there knew each other, but they all seemed friendly and welcoming to us - the outsiders. The dining room and kitchen were undergoing some renovations so we were limited in what we could choose from the menu and where we could sit. That really didn't matter because our food - burgers and fancy grilled cheeses were excellent. I had a turkey, bacon grilled cheese that was superb. I can't wait to go back for the homemade macaroni and cheese with brisket, though. It was the first night of serving for our waitress, and she was helped along by the bartender. They were both friendly and efficient. It was a totally pleasant evening, and our friends and we will definitely be back.

For the past 50 years, we've provided our guests with a casual yet sophisticated atmosphere, hand-cut aged steaks, fresh seafood and some traditional German favorites. We offer a seasonally changing menu with an emphasis on locally produced and organicall
My husband and I recently moved to the area, and decided to go here for dinner during the heatwave we were experiencing. We walked in the lobby and enjoyed the decor, complete with a phone booth. The restaurant was not busy, yet we had to wait 10 minutes to be seated. We were seated in a small room which didn't seem to have air conditioning. Nobody came to our table after we were seated. The room was getting stuffier by the minute and we were both sweating, yet no waitress came for our drink orders. After waiting for 10 minutes, we both decided it was too hot inside and since we seemed to have been forgotten, we left. We have no plans on returning.

I really loved the looks of this place inside. We were seated quickly and our server, Brooke, was awesome. She was friendly, funny, and very attentive.I ordered a side salad and lasagna and my husband ordered the chicken parm. Their garlic knots, garlic bread, and bread was so good I almost filled up before the meal came (I had to force myself to stop and wait for the meal to arrive). We always share our meals and my lasagna was excellent. I had some of my husbands chicken parm and the chicken was so tender you could cut it with your fork.

My husband and I had a coupon for Union Barrel Works, so we checked it out. He started with the Mussels appetizer and I had the crab cheese cake appetizer with grilled flat bread. My husband had around 12 mussels that were not open. He told the waitress. The kitchen made him another entire pound of them. That batch only had 1 unopened. He said they were very good. The crab cheesecake was very good also, very cheesy and had a smoky taste. My husband had the black and blue steak tips, they came with soup or salad and 2 vegetables. That's alot of food! He said they were very good. I had the shrimp and crab Alfredo. It had whole pieces of crab meat from the crab legs and large shrimp. It had a creamy cheese sauce and spinach leaves. Very tasty. I ended up having it 2 more times for lunch. Large portions and great food. You don't find that very often. I almost forgot my husband loved the beer so much he took 4 six-packs home. We will definitely return.

We were in the area visiting with family over Mother's Day weekend. We wanted to take the family out and based on TA reviews we decided on the Olde Lincoln House. Not being familiar with this restaurant, my husband and I stopped in the night prior to the family dinner to check it out. We sat at the bar and could tell immediately that this was a local favorite. Many of the customers were known to each other and/or the staff. Sometimes you find yourself not necessarily feeling welcomed as an outsider in a local place - but this was not the case here. Everyone including other customers were warm and engaging. This first night we had a couple of drinks, and split a crab dip appetizer and a french dip sandwich. The food was very good and we were looking forward to the dinner with family the next evening. On the night of our family dinner there were 10 of us - ages 3 to 90. We had a large table on the ground floor. The menu has a great variety of choices - from tavern/pub fare to prime rib entrees. We all shared half a dozen appetizers and everyone found a main entree to their liking. The portions were ample and folks found themselves taking home portions they could not finish. The staff was great. The servers (sorry I orgot to note their names) were spot on - attentive, quick without being pushy, pleasant and responsive to our needs. We would definitely recommend. No one from our group had been here previously and I have heard from a couple that are local (New Holland area) that they will certainly be going back. Thank you Olde Lincoln House - you helped make our visit a memorable one!
