Reviews on Bar food in Dawson Creek, British Columbia, Canada. Dawson Creek is a city in northeastern British Columbia, Canada. The municipality of 24.37 square kilometres (9.41 sq mi) had a population of 11,583 in 2011. Dawson Creek derives its name from the creek of the same name that runs through the community. The creek was named after George Mercer Dawson by a member of his land survey team when they passed through the area in August 1879. Once a small farming community, Dawson Creek became a regional centre after the western terminus of the Northern Alberta Railways was extended there in 1932. The community grew rapidly in 1942 as the US Army used the rail terminus as a transshipment point during construction of the Alaska Highway. In the 1950s, the city was connected to the interior of British Columbia via a highway and railway through the Rocky Mountains. Since the 1960s, growth has slowed.

Old Grams Kitchen specializes in making hearty, home cooked meals for the community. We feature a full breakfast starting at 6am every morning, a different home made soup for our lunch special, and a hearty home cooked supper special every evening. On top
A tiny new place in Rolla that serves up home style comfort food.Home made, from scratch daily soups and onsite baked bread sandwiches for lunch. It changes daily. You won't find pressed and formed "meat" here.I had a roast beef sammi that was thick cut roast beef with real cheddar on thick slices of fresh baked bread. Add a bowl of "from scratch" corn chowder and it was very satisfying!Breakfast sandwiches or a hearty sit down breakfast to go from 6:00 A.M. Breakfast brunch on the weekends. Local made breakfast sausage links and thick cut local bacon. Not that thin laser cut stuff. Thick! Really thick! They have a special for supper that also changes daily. From hand battered fish on Fridays to Shepherds pie to Lasagna. Everything I've tried has been really delicious so far. Check their Facebook page for their daily specialsHighly recommended! You can also pre order takeout at 250-759-4023. Sure beats a bag meal if your busy working.

My girlfriend and I, accompanied by two of our friends always go here on Wednesdays for wing night. We drink beer, play buck hunter, and eat wings. Ask for extra crispy wings. They have a lot of dry seasonings and sauces to choose from.

My first trip to Dawson. Great location. Lots of parking. Stopped in on a Monday and had the entire place to ourselves. The bartender was great! Food was great. Drinks were great. Will go back for sure.

Really enjoyed chatting with the bartender. His food recommendations were spot on. The menu was a bit pricey, but we enjoyed everything we tried. Would eat there again.

No fancy frills, no stuffed shirt attitude. Just real people and great food. Everything you want in a steakhouse - only casual.
The food specials are a pretty good deal, and the food tasted good. It was slow, but we still had a hard time getting service. The waitress was friendly, but didnât know much about the menu. Maybe some more training would be beneficial. âI donât really know, Iâm newâ isnât a sufficient excuse for not being able to tell me about menu items. The poor selection of beer on tap (2), was further reduced because âwe forgot to put the other keg in the coolerâ. I dunno. This place gets a lower than average rating from me. Thanks for checking us out and sharing your review. I'm sorry we missed the mark on the details for you this visit, and we'll review your comments with our team straight away. We have eaten at this restaurant in other locations and have always found the food and service to be excellent. The Dawson Creek location was no exception. The food was delicious and the servers were friendly and helpful. The steak and dynamite roll was especially yummy.

We had just arrived after 11-hours driving and we were starving and planning on going to a different place. Our hotel woman said she preferred Fixx Urban and was convincing. We both had good meals and good drinks and great service and that's all she wrote.
