A burger each and a loaded chips between two was masses of food but rather good and fairly priced. Service was casual, friendly and fast. What you want from a burger bar really. Good vegan options which looked pretty tasty and according to our friend were pretty tasty.

Well what an experience.Myself and my husband have eaten at some top locations but surprisingly this is one of the best places I have eaten in, the mussel mullinere was absolutely amazing. The mussels tasted fresh and quality sauce served with just enough sauce and the ever wanted cleaning cloth. The burger.... where do I start....It had a fantastic bite not overcooked and just enough cheese and salad to satisfy my healthy side. The brioche was grilled which is the first time outside my own home that I've had this and I definitely recommend it. The staff were were really nice and accommodating and especially since we was visiting from the south they went out of there way to make us feel comfortable. You could tell I liked it, I'm a Yorkshire man and I left a tip.....The only reason I have to give a score of 4 was given solely based on the bad language from one of the customers at the bar, I realise it's a pub and you have to accept this in certain situ, but if I had children with me I would have more than likely been arrested rather than enjoying my meal, surely every conversation does not have to begin with an F and end with an F. A very very well done to staff for finding a middle ground and for providing a great meal.

Popped in for a couple of hours with my husband and daughters. Varied menu with plenty to keep everyone happy including my very fussy 9 year old. When I asked for her beans in a separate bowl with separate spoon absolutely no problem. All of the staff behind the bar very friendly and very helpful. Good wine selection to keep me happy. Feel very comfortable visiting with both my daughters and the conservatory is a very bright and airy place to sit. Definitely worth visiting and take my hat off to the manager for running such a tight and well organised pub. Thanks for your review, we are delighted to find that you enjoyed your visit.

A friend & I came in here unplanned on way home from Glasgow. The welcome we received was so friendly. After a lovely chat with that bar man, we were given a choice of the restaurant or bar and picked the bar. Food & drink was great but the 5 star review really is for the staff - they couldn’t have been any more friendly, welcoming & helpful than they were - well done! Kamo55, thank you for your kind review; we are happy to pass along your comments to the team here at The Red Deer! Thanks again for the recommendation, and have an amazing day!

Dined here for a special 80th birthday celebration for my father. Firstly Staff were so friendly, we were a large sitting, 17,and the professional way they attended to us all made the occasion and lovely one. It's a beautiful restaurant, lovely decor and A modern cocktail bar also within the restaurant. The food was delicious, we had a set party menu due to 17 of us but this did not disappoint, beautifully presented and exceptional value, and the deserts were just a true delicious delight! We did bring our own birthday cake which was brought out with lit candles and a song, this was a perfect lovely way to end our lunch. If you live in the Cumbernauld area I'd highly recommended you try this place for a special occasion.
