Driven by the Green Cross hundreds of times in the last 15 years and always meant to try........ finally did........ should have visited earlier........ fantastic food ...friendly efficient service...... good atmosphere. The menu is very fish orientated and all we ate between the four of us was excellent. This will become regular. One suggestion ..... a better choice of cider would be good.......

This early 17th century building in the pretty village of Goudhurst has been painstakingly restored to a cosy and welcoming restaurant & pub, serving quality steaks cooked over charcoal, classic pub meals and modern British dishes. Alongside these are tra
We had a delicious lunch at the Vine. Our 3 meals included vegetarian and vegan options all thoroughly enjoyed. The chunky chips were cooked to perfection, crisp on the outside and really fluffy inside. The staff were all very friendly, it didnât feel like this was the first time weâd been there. Highly recommend!

This was a drive by stop and we where with a dog, we received a warm welcome and shown to a lovely table for lunch. The staff are brilliant and they have a chef who can cook. Imaginative menu well executed.
The Hive is for everyone. A business & social hub offering enterprise support, hot-desking & a community hang-out, with licensed bar & Greek kitchen offering delicious authentic Greek food with unique, boutique internet-café surroundings.
I only dropped in for a coffee and this brand new 'internet cafe' and it is a really 'buzzing' place where you can combine your internet working with a drink and/or a meal (Anglo-Greek cuisine). The service for drinks was quick, efficient and friendly and, if you are working, the "office" spaces are airy and open, tastefully decorated and equipped, and welcoming. As it says on the label, it really is a "hive" of networking.

The Great House pub and restaurant, between the Kent villages of Cranbrook and Hawkshurst, is set in some of the most celebrated countryside in all of Europe. Within its own superbly kept grounds, this 16th century inn more than lives up to its location w
Saw the pictures, and read the reviews, but the reality fell far short. The bar area was grubby with food smears on the floor so not an enticing entry. The burger was ok but my chicken kebab with vegetables turned out to be four or five large chunks of meat with unappetising charred slices of capsicum and onion in between. It looked as if no chef had any input into this meal. The accompanying flatbread was dry and stale. This is pub grub.Good morning Katie,I am sorry to hear about your visit. Please could you email me to discuss further. Regards, Sian

Situated in picturesque Sissinghurst, The Milk House is a village pub at the heart of the community. Every day the bar welcomes loyal locals, along with visitors from further afield, offering cask ales from Kentish breweries and a wide selection of wines
We booked their best room for an overnight stay. We enjoyed a very good dinner and their staff are all superb and made the evening a success. Then the problems began. Their best room is located above the kitchen normally not a problem except this night the kitchen staff neglected to turn off their extraction fans.....imagine listening to a loud humming mechanical noise all night....we did not sleep. The manager handled my complaint quite well but suggested I was mistaken as the head chef said he had turned the fans off....obviously there is a wheel off somewhere. I suggest eating and drinking at the Milk House but beware if you are contemplating staying and if you do avoid the Byre room.

We just popped in for Coffee and I must say what a lovely pub. Staff friendly and decor was great. The menu looked really nice and they do B&B as well. We donât live that far from them so we will go back to try the food. The village is idilic if you want a taste of the Kent countryside this is it.

We went into this Hotel for a quick sandwich/drink before a hospital appointment. The sandwiches that arrived were not what we had ordered so taken away (with an apology) and we waited another 10 minutes. At last arrived and husband's fine but the special pickle supposed to be in the cheese sandwich was practically non existent. What was going on in that kitchen!! There should also be some staff training as the noise generated by staff behind the bar, whispering, laughing and loud shouting across the room to other members of staff, with no concern for the customers trying to have a relaxing lunch, was something I had never seen before in a hotel.
